Appears to be very well made and works well. It arrived quickly and was easy to install. The purchase price through Amazon was four hundred dollars less than what the Horizon Service Rep was trying to charge me for a replacement unit.

I bought this unit to pump the water form my de-humidifier in the basement. After a few weeks of use the system failed causing serious flooding to my basement. I found the problem to be the floating switch, not the pump, or the shaft. Seller was excellent in speedy replacement. The second unit exhibited the same exact problem after 1 week of use. Manually toggling the switch turns the pump on, so, 2 units same switch problem. Definitely not acceptable. Extremely poor craftsmanship.Seller was great in complete refund.Pass on this item.....

...Than it is :( Solid looking isn't it?...but looks can be deceiving. It does its job well, but the solid looking motor and turbine pump are very noisy... they rattle.... fitment must be poor... expecting it to fail any day now! Plus the filler hole is on the wrong side for standard applications. Should have other options.

Seems to be what I hoped for other than parts are not available to replace if needed, but a three warranty this should be no problem and I was made aware of this before purchase. So this would be no surprise later

I bought this pump to replace the Hartell PAB1 which has been emptying my basement dehumidifier for 22 summers because it seemed to be running more frequently. After the new pump arrived, I took the old one apart and cleaned out the algae which I guess was weighing down the float valve a little and the old pump seems as good as ever. More regular treatment with bleach for the old pump will keep the new one on the shelf for another 20 years!!!! Hartell makes an amazing product...I wish they made cars!

Great condensate pump, with excellent pumping capacity, that is heavy duty, extremely well constructed and which should provide many years of service.Updated 09/03/2020 - After more than 4 years of use, this pump is still working as if it were new. Very reliable and durable piece of equipment.
