Holds Heat for Hours, Toasty Even in the Morning!
I'm very impressed with this! While the hard plastic certainly doesn't make it comfortable to cuddle, the verrry long lasting heat has made me a daily user. Cold toes are a thing of the past when I tuck them underneath for a time, and as a side sleeper who curls my legs, placing this just behind my knees keeps both my legs and my bum warm! I sleep with an extra (burrito) blanket under the covers, and it makes a lovely little pocket of warmth that lures me to sleep swiftly. There is some slight warping with the hot water and pressure, but it is as expected and well countered with the form. I reuse a quart of the water when replacing to decrease how much water I use, and there has been no sanitary issue as it is boiled and often changed. An electric kettle is decent, though boiling the water in the microwave has it staying warm longer. I'm honestly tempted to buy another one so my house spouse stops stealing mine!

This will last the entire night
My experience with this patented water bottle has been great. I boil water and let it sit for 3 minutes before I fill it into the water bottle. Then I secure the lid and carry it into the bed. It comes with a fleece bag to place over the water bottle to prevent it being too hot if it gets close to your skin. I use my own cotton bag I made myself. Because I use very hot water, it needs to have something wrapped over it to prevent it being too hot. I place it about 2 feet away from me and keeps me warm all night. I have used these for about 8 years. Through the years, the material becomes more brittle and can not withstand being dropped on the floor. I had one crack after I accidentally dropped it. But for it to last 8 years is wonderful. Probably would have lasted longer if I didn't drop it. You do not have to put boiling water in it. I do in order for it to last more than 9 hours. It does no damage to my sheets or my bed. It has no odor. I love it.

Very nice and unusual for USA residents
It 's perfect for a warmer, whether sitting on the couch or in bed or anywhere, even in the car. Warms you up quickly. It doesn't look like an old fashioned hot water bottle so you can take it with you and not feel embarrassed. I take it with me on long car rides. Recommend!

Keeps me warm at work computer
I sleep in a bedroom that is about 30 degrees fahrenheit- windows open, under two down comforters, with a fan on my head. This water bottle remains warm for 10 hours and gives me bliss- ice cold on my head, and toasty under the blankets. I now take it with me to work, where I fill it from the electric kettle, and stay warm for 4 hours by a computer, the refill to be warm for the rest of the day.I liked it so much that I bought one for my daughter, then others for my other two kids. My sister-in-law sent one to her mom in England. The only barrier is that cartoons and directions are in Japanese- I was bold and poured boiling water into the container, then screwed the cap on. Some folks are nervous that the Japanese directions might be telling them some secret information, so they don't try it.I myself was at first worried about the boiling water- The neck once melted off my CVS water bottle bed with me when the temp exceeded 160 degrees. It woke me in the middle of the night. No such problems with what we call the "Bumbles." The container reminded me of a beehive- so Bumbles.I got hte bottle for Christmas, and have already filled it at least 50 times.I rank it right up there with a Benriner mandoline, and a GE immersion blender as one of the great purchases of the last ten years. Wish I had known about it sooner

A bit too sturdy for sleepy-time
Well, whoever invented this hot-water bottle system seems a genius to me. Love the shape, the happy color, the way one can fill it w/ water from the top, which seems secure to me. BUT: I have yet to use this because it's so inflexible. It is way, way too hard a surface to put into the bed, even to lean back upon.I use hot water bottles for my feet in bed, in winter; also to lean on for back pain. This feels like a brick, which no one wants for their feet or body. Generally, for my personal use and in my personal opinion, I want a pillow substance, not a hard, hard surface. . With all the new plastics around, please give us this in a more giving, softer, flexible material. But applause to the inventor of the shape. Way cool.

Missing cover, otherwise, great!
Love the product. Stays hot all night. Bought one for my son, one for my sister and one for me.The last delivery was incomplete- missing the soft fabric cover which is important as the bottle is hard and gets very hot. Tried to rectify the issue and was led through choices that did not allow me to address the problem or communicate with the manufacturer. In frustration, decided to make a cover and keep the bottle. Except for that one issue, it's a great product and keeps me warm all night.

Lasts all night
Stays warm a long time. I have been using it now for several years. Use it to warm up bed at night and warm up my office chair during day. I wrap it in a towel and it emits a soothing warmth for hours.

Doesn't retain heat, ice cold after an hour
As I said, it can't hold heat. You can put boiling water in it and it will be freezing within 3 hours. Ive bought cheap hot water bottles of Amazon that felt like they were gonna fall apart at any second, but stayed hot all night.(Until they burst after 2 years) What a shame. I need hot water for my muscle pains, and my dumb American ass thought "Ohh, Japan makes good products!" No, they don't.
