One year on - still rock solid
I expected a mediocre product, I got something that has stood the test of time!I originally bought these to serve as hiking trousers and a replacement for skiing salopettes. I often get really hot when skiing, so I was looking for something more breathable.Being waterproof, they did the job perfectly in a range of snow conditions. Just about big enough at the bottom to fit over skiing boots too. They look slick too.I then started rock climbing in them, mountaineering, cycling, and all kinds of other sports. I expected they'd rip really quickly, but so far all I've had is the leg pocket zipper come unstuck which was quickly fixed with superglue. The tougher material on the knees I thought would be a gimmick, but hey I've hauled my legs up gneiss and granite and they're still just fine.Ok I haven't exactly been slashing them with knives, but for their weight they're pretty durable.Just like with any waterproof product, wash it and waterproof it with something like Nikwax every once in a while and it will stay that way.I hope I haven't talked up any bad luck!

Not bad for the money
Very comfortable and light weight fit me very well, had plenty of zip pockets which I needed also came with a belt. There not very water resistant though and the zips seem to come undone by themselves very easily. But all in all not bad for the money.

Zips very poor!
Why did you choose this product over others?:Great trousers but all zips broke on first day of wearing, and I bought two pairs, such a shame!

Comfy, but not waterproof & zips broke
First the positives. These are incredibly comfortable trousers, which would be perfect for dog walking, camping, hiking etc. The fabric is lightweight but feels durable, and being elasticated makes them very wearable. With regard to fit, I’m a 34 inch waist and the 3XL were perfect. The two downsides which caused me to return them, were that they are not waterproof at all,And only slightly water resistant. They were significantly better after treatment with a wash-in water repellent. The knee panels in particular let water through. They did dry extremely quickly however, so for a light shower this would not be an issue.Much more irritatingly, both of the pocket zips broke within the first two times of wearing, and this leaves the lining exposed to the elements, which are not waterproof at all, and lose the security of the zips.I returned these with a slightly heavy heart, as they were lovely trousers, but the above problems meant they did not match my needs. The return process was very straightforward

Flying
I bought these hiking trousers for, well, hiking. But then I discovered gliding. And now these trousers have seen more airtime than my Wi-Fi.They’ve survived muddy trails, thorny bushes, and one very dramatic belly-slide during takeoff. In the air, they flap just enough to make me feel like a majestic flying squirrel—but with better pockets. They’re breathable, flexible, and apparently wind-resistant enough to make me question if they’re made from parachute material. Bonus: they make me look like I know what I’m doing, even when I’m screaming internally during a thermal.Would I recommend them? Absolutely. Whether you're hiking up a hill or yeeting yourself off it with wings, these trousers have your backside covered—literally and emotionally

Don’t get this one.
Good, until it started falling apart after the second/third day of use. It had everything I wanted in outdoor trousers but was too good to be true. Firstly, the zips on the pockets just stopped zipping, and would only move up and down and would leave the zip open. The material was good until the right side of the trousers pocket ripped open, leaving a gash on my right thigh and anything you’d put on the functionality pocket under the right one, would just fall through and run down your leg. It was genuinely good but for lasting only two days on practical use makes this look like a fashion item more than anything built for rugged use. I’d be fine with this short lasted lifespan if it was like 5 quid or something but it wasn’t. For me it was 30. Disappointing filth.

Love these absolute bargain, the tough knee pads are great, waterproof, not to hot and not sweaty, although in height of summer I will still wear shorts, I was pleasantly surprised
