It is a beautiful book with great photos. The book was used buy just like new.

Arrived quickly and as described. A great book for Clash fans. Really good photos too.

The Kindle version is underwhelming but it's good to hear the words of these visionary musicians from their own mouths. A lot of the interviews have been recycled and not a lot of new things can be construed from them if you're a real fan, but for people coming to this Clash for the first time it's well worth the read. I am sure if I had the actual book in my hands it would be a very different review.

This book is AMAZING! So great to read this story from the band members themselves, and really interesting to hear the sometimes similar, and sometimes differing viewpoints of each member. The photography here is absolutely priceless. Legendary shots of the group, as well as some of their peer groups of the time. If you like The Clash or Punk Rock at all, you must get this book. As an added bonus, if you take the bright pink sleeve off, it's a beautiful solid black hardcover with THE CLASH in big silver letters on the spine. Perfect for display/decoration!

The story of The Clash, from start to finish, mostly as told/remembered by the band members themselves and their manager. Very informative and interesting for me, as I did not know a lot of the back story of the early, formative Punk years.

Really Good Book. I rediscovered The Clash recently. It's hard for me to understand the working-class Brit Punk 'thing'....But THE Clash were one of those seminal bands that evolved and changed over a very short period of time. When you listen to their music (I recommend The Story of...), it all sounds so familiar.The interesting part of the familiarity is that they were the early influence of much of the sound we heard through the 80s and 90s...

i'll just say that i like the clash but i got this book as a present for my boyfriend who LOVES the clash... when he opened the present, he gasped. that's how cool he thought it was. it's also a lot bigger and has way more pictures than i thought. from the description on the site, it seemed like it would be a regular book. this is more of a book of photos with some essays. enjoy!

Das Buch war ein Geschenk und der Beschenkte ein Riesen Clash-Fan hat sich sehr gefreut. Ich war froh, dass er dieses Buch tatsächlich noch nicht hatte.

If you are a Clash fan you will love it and even if you are not but want to understand the rise of this great rock band it will do what it says on the tin!!

I loved the book, got down to the nuts and bolts of the band, easy to read without being too light.
