I initially bought these rivets to make a repair on a folding ,turkey hunting seat . Worked better than new. Then repaired some old beach chairs that I'd been meaning to fix for some time but could not find rivets long enough in ACE or HD . Then since I now had the means to fix a sand chair with a torn seat ,I took that chair apart , had the seat resewn , and riveted it back together. It's a very satisfying feeling to be able to fix things , and it's a good feeling to have a place to go to get the wherewithal to do the job.

These rivets are better than the ones that were installed when my tree stand was brand new. Heavy duty!

These rivets are large and strong. See the arts and crafts project in the picture, the wood had a 1/8 inch gap and the backing washers still pulled into the wood.You could do less than 1.25, but I would not go much lower than 1" for it will snake up and work, but not look so hot or pull as hard.Use a tight fitting washer on both ends if you are binding soft products to ensure maximum pressure.

These are like using wall anchors for attachments. They spread out wide and secure for a larger area than a regular pop rivet. Work great for securing the slide toppers for the trailer.
