Q: How many yards is this?

This product advertises 86 yards, but the balls I received were only 72 yards. I didn't have enough yarn for my project and they sent me two more balls for free to complete my project because the advertised dimensions are wrong.

Thanks for your question. This yarn is "put up" in a pull skein. That means that end is on the inside and can be fished out to be used from the inside-out. However, as you may already have discovered with other pull skeins, this isn't always the happy result. Instead, the end of yarn strangles around other parts of the wound ball and then can't be taken out easily or without undue mess. If you are very good with your fingers, you can try to sort out the end strand from the others at the center of the ball, then the pull skein lives up to its nature. However, if you eviscerate it and end up with a huge clump of confused looking yarn, then you will have to sort that out, and probably end up rewinding the yarn into a hand-made pull ball (look up how to do that elsewhere on the internet, like YouTube). Many people don't want the hassle of any of this. They'll use a box to let it roll around in, or these days, the more elegant solution is a yarn bowl, made just for such conditions...you only need to find one large enough to accommodate the ball to let it roll around in the bowl. Poor purchase.

This is beautiful yarn but was a small skein and overpriced. The size of the skein was misrepresented and I could have got a much better deal in the store.
