Good board, sub-par STB
Got this to be a Kodi box. I'd previously used pcDuino3, so I figured I knew what I was doing. Firstly, the pcDuino site only has Android images for the pcDuino8 STB while the others include a Linux image. It's on me for not checking this ahead of time, but still annoying. I installed the Android version of Kodi on here and it works, but the included remote is a bit annoying to use as a media remote. It feels like it's meant for more general purpose usage. Normally I wouldn't count that against it, but since this variant is sold as a STB...

Completely failed to power on. I don't have any criteria to say what, if anything is good about it.

Well priced budget, 8-core STB. Also runs the Allwinner A83T Testboard Busybox image.
