A lot of bang for the buck
I simple line-level stereo preamp with treble, midrange, bass and level controls. Mine was soldered very well and on a nice sturdy board. I powered it from 12VDC on the screw terminals with not issue. It provides a decent an mount of gain vs. the input which is what I wanted. No noticeable noise or distortion added on a garage sound system. I'm sure some noise is there but for several indoor and outdoor speakers in this environment it works great. I do plan to put it in a project box, and a metal box with the audio ground attached to the box would help avoid it picking up unwanted nose from surrounding electrical devices. A small red LED lights with power. The images I added show the labeling, which is a bit hard to see. There's a stereo in and stereo out, both with a common ground. Also an AC or DC input, the listing says it will operate on DC12V-25V, AC9V-18V. There is nothing in the box to reference these.

Works great
Low cost fix for sub par speakers!

Ok preamp, no supply filtering.
This is only part of a preamplifier. Depending on the setup you will need local filtering on the power supply in order to get a clean signal out of this preamp. Schottky and a couple of caps should work in most instances. Solid performance, to a point. Lower gain had a much milder frequency response, and the low end of the volume has a noticeable drop where a ground loop is audible. This is likely due to an impedance mistmatch between the source and sink. The filters are directly tied into this, so limiters or additional filtering would have to come via mezzanine or off board. Swapping resistor avaluesnd cap values around could scoop out the region of interest, but would compromise the value of having a 3 band eq. Limited design with some basic flaws. Will work (albeit for a very short time) in a very non critical context.

Very noisy and unusable
I ordered this preamp board to front-end a small power amp in a stereo I’m building. I had already designed and built a simple preamp which was working fine, but thought I would give this one a try. The package arrived with no padding whatsoever, just the preamp board in a plastic bag. Then I hooked it up and there was lots of noise at all volume levels. The three EQ pots seemed to be working, and the volume pot did turn the volume up and down, but the noise was pretty bad. I rechecked all connections, tried a different power supply, and even tried it with a different power amp, but the noise was consistent. Returned it the same day for a refund.

okay / acceptable for price
dont care for the cutoff frequencies of the mid, was hoping it would sound like a numark dm1001 pre but those are analog and prolly need more power. all in all pleased.

Sorry I didn’t go with higher quality.
The board will not power on. It looks like it might have a couple of bad diodes. Going to use something else with better quality components. I would return, but my project got delayed too long and now I’m past the date. Oh well.

No directions
Would be nice to have a simple wiring schematic
