Want to build a successful agency or any business? READ this first!

I decided I wanted to not be a solopreneur and instead build a widely successful agency. This was like a source code for success. Luca Senatore has done it all and succeeded in a tough world. This book was inspirational but also a recipe book for success! I had heard and used SMART goals Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely but OKRs were a new beast. Objectives and Key Results were brand new but critical to building a business that will stay leading edge and make everyone involved act like an owner. I have devoured this book and I have not even got the hard copy yet. Thanks Amazon for Kindle and Thank You Luca Salvatore for a brilliant book.If you are serious about succeeding at building your own business, Read this First! and Last!

Covers A Lot Of Ground

A decent book that covers most of your challenges - from getting started to dealing with clients, employees and growth. A number of good elements on the sales and marketing process as well. There’s a lot of ground covered at a fairly high level - with a few unnecessary f-bombs dropped in. Other than that, it’s a good read for the aspiring agency head.

Just What I Need

I've been in the digital marketing space for a long time now so I know all of what Luca shares to be 100% true. The section on setting goals (OKR's) is very helpful and I will be implementing this method. His section on Linkedin marketing as well because he shares exactly what he's doing that's getting him results on the platform. Luca's view that all agency's should share information and help each other is refreshing. I found the book to be just what I need at this particular moment in trying to grow and expand my business. Thanks Luca!!

Easy to follow step-by-step process if you want to build and scale a digital marketing agency

It offers a step-by-step approach to anyone looking to build and scale a digital marketing agency. One especially important principle the author stresses on over the course of the book is the importance of investing in building and nurturing relationships with the people within your client's business. It might sound trivial, but too many agencies and business service owners gloss over this simple principle.I believe the book could have been shorter, but overall, it was a good read.

If you are looking to build a digital agency, you will find many applicable ideas. He is sharing his story and you will see that if he could achieve it, then anybody can.Thank you Luca, for sharing your struggle story and your triumph - it really motivated me to keep going when things get tough.

Inspirational, helpful and funny!

I love this book. It's inspirational, very helpful, and on top on this it's funny and very easy to read. It feels more like having an interesting conversation with an author who surely has a lot to share. It's full of excellent insights, and I couldn't help highlighting everything I learned. And that was a lot! Absolutely a must-read for everyone in the industry, especially agencies founders. Thanks!

Gamechanger for Agencies

A book that is unparalleled. I am impressed by Luca's practical experience. So vividly you realise that he is a man of practice and not just selling nice-sounding theories.In addition to completely new approaches, there were - how could it be otherwise - approaches that we already had in mind. But as close as they were, we did not implement all of them. So it was a nice refresher to take action.For our agency, we were able to take away some best practices and impulses that we will implement in our daily business. This books really safes us a lot of time spent in mistakes other agency founders already did, so we can fast forward.Thank you Luca for this good book. My Favourite 2021.

E' sempre bello leggere libri, storie ed insegnamenti di chi si è fatto le ossa sul campo. I consigli dati da Luca nel libro sono diretti, semplici e pronti all'uso. Ottimo per chi ha ha un'agenzia ma direi per tutte le aziende e soprattuto per chi ne ha appena aperta una o ha intenzione di aprirla.

A highly motivating manual that's perfect for PPC people

I work for a small and fast growing performance digital marketing agency and found that this book was fantastic at characterising and dealing with the business challenges that we face. On top of this Luca is great at drawing on his history as a speaker to motive and guide the reader with a huge amount of energy.The book didn't really cover many technical PPC strategies or tactics. There was no list of tech you should build in house (e.g. no suggestions to build a bidding model or instead to automate ad optimisation based on CTR). The tools suggested are useful from a business perspective rather than because they improve ad performance (e.g. trello). This makes sense as I would not expect a leading agency to give away very specific tactics, and most likely they would be out of date in less than a year anyway.For me, the most useful advice was to link every day actions and tasks to higher level business goals, especially through the use of OKRs. I've already been implementing some of these practices and found that my work is more focussed and prioritises long term goals much better. This also aids communication in situations of conflict. If you can agree on the end goal, then discussing the best tactic to get there is a hell of a lot less confrontational.Other topics that were covered were also very actionable, from sales and hiring to training and communication. I really enjoyed the clear and concise example which made it easy to connect the strategies suggested to my own experiences.Thanks for the inspriation!
