I'd buy this a thousand times over!
I used to be a member, for 7 years of a Barre Workout. However, the prices kept going up, from $100 per month to $160 and increasing before COVID19. I finally had to break with that studio and have been looking for a replacement. I just found a great Barre workout on a streaming service and a week into it, it became clear, I needed a ballet barre. I checked the internet for options. I decided I didn't want to mount the barre in the wall of my house. So, I searched the internet again and found Booty Kicker Ballet Barre. The price was pretty good compared to the other options. The website was clean, transparent and super easy to watch the videos showing various uses. I went to SmileAmazon and they sold the barre with free shipping because I am a Prime Member and I pulled the trigger and ordered the barre. Within days, the barre box was at my front door with "Booty Kicker" written on the outside :) I thought that was fun. The box is about 22lbs. So, I waited for hubby to move the box into the house. Then he was able to set it up by himself. A few days after he set it up, I received the Email from Booty Kicker that we should watch the set up video. I agree, that is what people need to do. Fortunately, my husband is a mechanic, so, he was able to do the set up based on his skills. The barre has a beautiful solid wood barre, just like the ballet barres you would see at any ballet or barre studio. Check! The frame is nicely painted beige/tan color. The hardware on the wooden bar is shiny nickle coated, and the "feet" (like an "L" angle shape frame) are the same beige/tan-very neutral color. I LOVE the "shark fins" on the back frame where I store my barre weights so nicely and out of the way. The barre is long enough for me to hang my towel/mat on it and use it. If you try to hang or pull sideways on the barre, all crazy, it will move, but that is not what barre workout is about. It is sufficient for ballet & barre workout. Kids climbing & jumping on it, b/c it is not fixed to a wall, will cause it to move. But, hey, it is "portable" so... I love this barre so much, ,and the quality of the product, one of my girlfriends has already purchased one for herself based on my say. And, another girlfriend will probably by one for herself. LOVE this product. Using it almost every day. Consider it totally a GREAT purchase!

Don't hesitate to buy!
So happy I bought this. I hesitated when I read the 1 star reviews about quality and assembly. The instructions are not clear, but take your time, read the directions and then look at the diagram carefully before starting assembling. All holes were drilled properly, no misaligned equipment...it works flawlessly. Great value, quality product.

Nothing to complain about
Took about 10-15 minutes to assemble, and I like that it is collapsible, which is great if you have limited space. Generally sturdy. All the important bits are metal (minus the wooden barre of course) so it’s nice and solids It does get a bit wobbly if you try to twist it around, but that’s not how you’re supposed to use this barre anyhow, so it’s not a big deal. I didn’t realize how much of a difference having a proper barre would make when working out, so I’m glad I made this purchase. Considering I used to pay $130/month for studio classes before lockdown, I’d say this pays for itself, especially if you’re already familiar in barre exercises and don’t need as much adjustment.I didn’t install the banner and the weight shelves, and they’re not necessary for the product’s stability. My only one complain is that to collapse it, you have to pull away the metal pole that holds it up, and it can be a bit difficult if you have weak upper body strength.

Sturdy, cute, cheap barre option - but there's room for improvement
Overall, this gets the job done. I plan to keep it. I'm 5'7", fairly muscular and around 150lbs. I had no issues with the height, or the stability (tried with Ballet Beautiful and XtendBarre). I even tried doing some incline push ups on it, and it was fine. However, as with anything involving balance, placement of your body is key. If you keep your weight centered on it, you'll be fine. If you go too far to one side, it will move - totally normal for something that's not anchored to the floor or wall and is light enough to move around your house. FYI I'm not sure if mine may have been a customer return, because the velcro and strap were dirty like they had been fingerprinted, some of the parts seemed warped, and the base was labeled incorrectly.PROS:-Sleek, modern look - doesn't make the room it's in look bad even if you leave it out-Good height for 5'4-5-9, I personally think if you're taller or shorter you may have a hard time using this depending on your range of motion-Stable once assembled (on a hard floor - I didn't love it on carpet)-Cost effective way to enhance your barre classes at homeCONS:-Assembly SUCKED. I say that as someone who can assemble pretty much anything without help, usually faster than it says it will take. This took me over an hour - it started poorly with the base labels being reversed (pretty sure this was a return and the L and R bags got swapped), some of the bolts were taking off chunks of paint that seemed to be clogging the holes...this was just overall painful and weird to assemble. I did get it done, and it does work now, but it wasn't easy.-Folding is technically possible, but also sucks. The bars you have to pop out in order to fold it down are in very weird positions that make injuring your fingers or hands pretty likely. I'm probably not going to want to collapse it every day.

Wonderful Barr!
I highly recommend this bar over all the other designs. It is extremely sturdy, will not fall over on you, and the weights on the other side it’s so convenient for both storage and making it even more sturdy. I’m so glad I decided on this style of exercise bar.

Very nice bar-smooth!
If you put it together correctly it is pretty stable and stays put. I read someone complained about that so I wanted to say that I don’t have that issue. I also don’t put all my weight into it though, trying to push it.It’s a great product! Also easy to fold it up and when you put it back up, the securing ties have grommets to keep it safely from popping out of position when you are using it. Really nice design
