Gets the job done. However, as I screw it into the sand, the sand rises through the open bottom. I'd recommend one with a closed bottom.

The product I received was not a Sandgrabber as pictured. Not to mention, one of the handles was bent causing the paint to crack. There were also some paint chips on the screw end. On the model that was sent, the base was square and did not seem as securely fastened as it is on a Sandgrabber. I've attached photos of my issues with this product.

This did not hold my umbrella at all. You need a very thick umbrella to stay tightly in the metal tube otherwise it blows right out with a strong gust of wind. I was very disappointed.

It was very sturdy and easy to set up. At first I thought that the umbrella was not going to fit but there was a black plastic adjuster on the top that you needed to open first, if using a standard size umbrella. My in laws really liked it too and asked us to order two more, one for them, and one for a friend.

Stays in the sand. Strong. Never a problem !

Purchased this to use at the beach and it worked just fine. Very well built, very durable, and it adjusted easily to different umbrellas

Used it one time and the cap/bolt end to hold umbrella steady does not work properly. It does not tighten enough and just continues to spin. Does a good job digging in the sand.

Having this auger has made putting up our beach umbrella such a snap. Love that it is sturdy metal. It hasn't rusted, but if it does, I'll spray paint it. SO glad I chose metal over plastic.
