Eye Know

I bought this game as a gift for my Mom and had the opportunity to play with three others after Christmas. You must identify the picture on the cards placed on the board from different catagories and then answer one of three increasingly difficult questions true/false, multiple choice or open-ended). As one card is identified, another picture card is placed on the board. I found this game to be fun even though I am not "worldly" when it comes to trivia. There are enough cards in various catagories that one can coast. For instance, I recognized a picture of a venus fly trap plant and correctly answered a true/false question (come on, it 50-50!)earning an equal number of chips I had bet. Players bet poker chips based on how well they think they know the subject of the card and the level of difficulty of the question. I could keep up as a big better. I will buy this game for myself to play with my adult friends.

I purchased 2 games at the same time, this one and "Apples to Apples". Buying both was a smart move, the kids (4 teens) like Apples to Apples better but really enjoy this one as well. Think of it as trivial pursuit with pictures, I seem to know 90% of every card but I've spent most my life staying very up to date with current events. Each time we play the kids retain more information about people, logo's, products, animals, buildings ect.. The really cool feature is that you make a wager based upon how much you know about the subject. This allows anybody to win. For instance the card has a picture of the "Honda Logo", I get it correct so I get a poker chip for being correct. I then can wager up to 3 chips depending upon how much I know about Honda. I tend to be conservative with my betting unlike my children and they always seem to win each time.

If you like trivia using visual cues, this game is for you. The pictures fit into topic areas and really test what you recognize. After you identify the picture, the card is turned to the questions on the back that vary in difficulty. You bet on whether you will know the answer or not. We have been surprised at some of the twists the questions take. We have played it with a variety of people and all have seemed to enjoy it. Only problem is if you play it alot you quickly run out of cards you do not recognize, which is important if you want to continue playing the game with friends. I suppose there is a plan for update decks....adds to the company's finances.

I bought this game in Canada as a thank you gift for a friend watching our pets while we were on vacation in Toronto. They are huge board game fans so I wanted to pick something they wouldn't have already in their large collection and this was the best gift. I was in an educational store when I bought it and it had a sticker saying it was game of the year. After playing it I know why. The design of the game makes it easy for children and adults to play together--that being said it is not too easy nor too challenging for mixed ages to play together. There are 3 options to choose from which also makes it easier for each person to find an area they can answer. I don't do many reviews but I always use reviews to make online purchases so thought I should pay it forward. My monthly game night group really enjoyed a new game to play but it was my hard to please husband who also called it 'a really good game' that lets me know I really found a winner!! It takes arm twisting to get my husband to play a board game but he loves it!! My husband and I played with my aunt and 17 yr old cousin and they both really enjoyed it as well. The catagories are sooo broad it gives everyone the chance to show off how much they know about things from plants to public figures, to minerals and cars!! Yes, tons of interesting facts about all sorts of things! I think I'll be ordering the add on card set in the near future!

This is fun game and is well made. We invented our own rules pretty quickly about answering the questions. The creation of sets at the end of play encourages taking on challenging images, which improves the game. It is hard not to just look at every card and test your knowledge, then read all the answers. Doing this would render the game useless, but would be a fun 45 minutes or so!My family enjoyed playing this game.

Love playing the game with family, just wish there were more cards- already went through them.

We played this at my sisters and bought it for ourselves. We have a 6 yo and an almost 9yo and they play too. They don't know all the images, but it's good practice and it makes for some fun family memories.
