ARKSEN© HVAC A/C Refrigeration AC Manifold Gauge Set for R134A

It's advertised to use with R-22, R-404A, & R-134A. But when you open it up, there is a small slip of paper that describes its use for R-134A & that's it! Had to go down to my local mechanic to be sure this works for R-22 (car refrigeration, the reason I bought the unit), he saw that it have adapters that fit the hoses to the schrader valves on R-22 systems (cars earlier than 1993-1994).

Great guages and very reasonable

A very inferior gauge set. The fittings are the worst ones I have ever seen. I had to replace them because the original ones would break the schrader valves on the car. I wasted 4 cans of freon and replaced car valves twice before I realized the problem was the brand new gauge set. The hoses leak and won't stay tight on the manifold. All in all I spent more money fixing this set than I paid for it. Don't buy this set.

I was disappointed that there was no documentation included with the gauge set - no instruction manual, no specifications, etc. Nevertheless, I relied on U-Tube to gain some idea on how to use the gauges. I was able to utilize the gauges to work on my A/C but I certainly made some preventable mistakes. BTW the case is good for storing the gauges themselves but not the hoses (I saw no benefit in trying to coil up the hoses to the extent necessary to put them in the case).

OK it was cheap and in this case you dont get what you dont pay for. There is no vacuum gauge on the low side gauge and it is calibrated for 134 only. I bought it because it came in a case. I really like tools that come in a case. The case is the worst one I have ever seen. I expect it to open and close about 5 times before it falls apart. If you need a "Single use" product this will work but I'd steer clear if you are looking for anything of even marginal quality.

I just received this set to repair my ac in my 2006 Saturn Vue Redline. This set has everything I needed to complete the job. They performed flawlessly for me.I liked the high and low side connectors that allowed you to depress the schrader valves manually. All of the hoses come with 1/4" flare connections. I liked the site window to see any flow of refrigerant. The gauge dials are nicely protected with red and blue flexible rubber-like material. The kit comes with a convenient storage case as well.The only issue I had were the instructions. They seemed to be translated from another language. The grammar and content was less than desirable. All in all, this is a good set for someone that checks there own ac periodically.

First non-yellow jacket gauges I have used. I will have to use them for a year or so before I know how good they are
