This book is a classic example of perseverance

So nice to introduce this story to a new generation.

My husband bought a bunch of these to give out to young parents in our church. A lesson in never giving up believing that you can do this. The little engine that could & he did!

Sweet classic that I grew up with as did my own children. Purchased for a gift for a 18 month old.

This was my absolute favorite book when I was a child. I don't know what happened to it because that was like 30 some years ago. My niece is having a baby and for her shower. You are to bring a book Whether new or old And I found it on here and I'm so so happy and it may not be from 40 oe 50 years ago. But it looks like the original one that I had when I was a child. I am so happy it looks like that and not revised. And I'm so glad that I found it so easily and was very cheap and I'm so happy to be able to give it to my niece for her to read to her baby girl.

This is a fun, classic book which is good even for today's children.

Purchased for a baby's first birthday and went over very well.

This is the original version with the original artwork, not the newer "woke" version with "improved" illustrations!Even the binding seems identical to the one that I read in the 1950's.A delightful book to give confidence to little ones.

The repetitiveness helps learn the language. And the positive message is easily picked up by a 3 year old.

I personally find the story a bit of a bore(quite repetitive) but my son absolutely loves it and already quotes from it regularly. He loves it and that's the main thing!!
