In a tale as epic as Noragami , sometimes details get overlooked, like how do shinki normally find employment? Is Yato ever useful? What happens when a god is targeted by a serial killer? Find the answers to these questions and more in this collection of short stories from Noragami creator Adachitoka! Review: Love 💖 - Favorite series ever. Love these short stories with the characters. Good quality book too. Review: Loved it! - I'm a huge fan of the original manga series. All though this book plays no real significance to the main story, it is a good read with good humor. It's a handful of short stories, that really aren't related to each other, so don't expect a full continuous story. If you're a fan of Noragami, I definitely recommend giving this a try.

This is a collection of short stand-alone stories (one of which is in the anime adaption). ノラガミis an amazing manga -- if you generally enjoy things (any things) you should buy all of it <3s

Good, but could use better packaging
Everything was fine, but it could have been shipped in one of those boxes that specifically just holds a book (like what Books-A-Million sends theirs in). It could have easily gotten a bent page in what it came in.

Awesome 'stray' stories!
Awesome sides stories... or stray stories! If you are a fan of Norgami then don't miss out on this side series. I can't wait for the next volume.

A must for Noragami fans - fleshes out the Noragami world
I am a big fan of Noragami, and this book is the perfect accompaniment to the main series. It contains a handful (approx 6) short stories about several of the key characters in the series, including Yukine, Kazuma and - of course - Yato. Each story is insular and independent of the main story arc, but all contain familiar characters and references that will bring a smile to your face...oh, and they are all very, very amusing! None of the darker storylines are included here - this is a light-hearted collection of stories that build on the Noragami world and add substance and flavour to the characters (fanservice at it's finest!). If you've watched the anime the first story will no doubt be familiar - it's the tale of the young marketing professional that's trying to commit suicide, so if (like me!) you really enjoyed this part of the anime you will be pleased to find it recreated in this book. It goes without saying that Stray Stories is best read if you've already made a dent in the primary Noragami manga, as otherwise you're not going to be able to fully appreciate the history of these characters; this is intended as a supplemental book rather than a standalone. If you're new to the world of Noragami I would recommend working through the main series before picking this up (and trust me, you will love it if you appreciate interesting and humorous characters; original and engrossing urban fantasy storylines; beautiful artwork). If you're already reading the main series I would suggest holding off reading this one until you've read through to the end of book 8, by which point you would have been introduced to all of the characters that appear in Stray Stories. Finally, the book ends with a couple of early character sketches as a small bonus...there's not much difference between these and the actual character art to be honest, but they're nice nonetheless. A great addition to a Noragami collector's stash, and a great way to kill time until the next primary canon book is released!

A must
Super cute stories that add details to the noragami universe. We learn new things about the characters too. A must for the fans.

It's almost like if American Gods was set exclusively in Japan and was more "anime"
You know that mystery character from American Gods that nobody can remember? Well what if you based a story around him and set it in Japan. How does a god that requires belief to survive, do so when nobody can retain their memories of him? I marathon bought and read all the books in this series to date after watching the anime. This is not something that I normally do so this series occupies a special place in that regard. It does that thing that I like of mixing the mundane nature of the normal world with the other-worldliness of the other. Readers of Neil Gaiman's work or fans of the Bakamonogatari series will know that vibe. I say give it a shot. Despite already knowing most of the story from the anime I do not regret buying and reading the story in the "original" format.
