Dry firing
Allows me to dry fire my 22k mag pistol without the fret of damage to the firing pin/striker.

Very happy with this purchase
I got these for my daughter, to teach her how to use her early birthday present. They cycle well, with little to no damage to the snap cap.

Definitely not meant to be a one time purchase
They work well as advertised but maybe my expectations of how they should work wasn’t correct. They are meant to protect the rim fire pin when dry firing but because of this, these are soft and get damaged within 20-30 dry firing shots to the point of deformation. Not by any means a bad product, just understand what your buying and why there are more then one in the package.

Snap Caps - Dummy Rounds - Must Have
I'll bet you I have snap caps for every revolver - pistol - rifle - and shotgun I own - Every caliber - and that's a few - Every time you clean you can insert load the correct size snap cap and check for alignment - functionality - etc. Without doing damage to your firing pin and or firearm. A-Zoom makes a good product.

Not to spec
These are NOT "Same size as factory ammunition". There are two issues: 1. The rim thickness is not consistent. This causes difficult cylinder rotation in a revolver where real live rounds pose no problem. 2. I have NEVER seen or heard of .22 rimfire ammunition with an extractor groove. Why do these dummy rounds have an extractor groove?

OK for reloading and loading training. Do not dry fire.
