This is a pretty low quality clock and the price reflects that. That being said it is my favorite wake up alarm clock. I tried the Phillips one and would get a terrible headache even on the lowest setting. Plus I am sensitive to light and don't like waking up 30 minutes before my alarm. The SXE Sunrise Simulator has a pleasant light that comes on 5 minutes before your alarm time, is very easy to set up and I love the nightlight. It would be GREATLY improved if there was a dimmer for the screen. The red light for the time etc. is almost as bright as the wake up light. I liked it well enough that I used headlight/taillight tinted adhesive to dim it. It took 5 layers.

This alarm works fine if you're looking for just an alarm to wake you up via buzzer or radio. As far as the sunrise simulator, I wouldn't quite say it the simulation is equivalent or close to real natural lighting. Not even close. It's pretty dim...and by the product details my impression was that it was going to gradually get brighter. That is not the case. The light it actually similar to a night light and doesn't actually give a bright light in a dark room.

The LED light is pretty harsh, and the noise alarm is awful. The best feature is the giant snooze button on top :) The Zadro Health Solutions Natural Wake-Up Alarm is a much better product.  Zadro Health Solutions Natural Wake-Up Alarm

Five minutes before the alarm time, the light comes on and gets gradually brighter, approximately one step per second for maybe seven seconds. The light is blue and not even close to adequately bright. To call this a sunrise simulator is really a joke. This is not adequate to wake anyone up before the alarm, which is VERY loud and jarring. The price is nice, but if you are looking to wake gently to light, you'll have to pay for a more expensive option.

The alarm sound isn't as loud as I had hoped and the light on top is not satisfactory.

The light works well. Not as bright as I expected. The alarm however, is a loud beeping sound that completely takes away from the purpose of waking up to a natural light. The alarm can not be turned off. It's all or nothing!I would not buy again. Not what I expected.The positive: light, compact, easy to use, the light is nice!

SXE Sunrise Simulator USB Charging Night Light Alarm Clock is NOT a Sunrise Simulator.It has a little light gets brighter just before it starts it’s annoying beeping.The light and / or the beeping probably will not wake many people.Usually I would chock it up being my fault for buying some inexpensive but this thing is cheep and arrived broken. A top segment on the digital display is not working 8:1Y = 8:19 .I own a Bio-Bright and this is not a Sunrise Simulator ... Zero stars.

This is a piece of junk. The light is a very harsh white that is not like a sunrise simulator at all. And after 45 days, our display went off and no longer works at all. Can't get it to power up using either power cord or batteries. Of course this happened just after the 30 day warranty so we're completely out of luck. Do not purchase this cheaply made item.
