Gearproz HydroCord Handle for Hydro Flask Water Bottles, Wide Mouth Hydroflask 1.0, Iron Flask, Thermoflask and Takeya Reusable Water Bottles, Paracord Survival Strap, 25 Color Choices

The handle itself is of good quality and what I was looking for, but the vendor did not include any instructions for attaching the handle to the Hydro Flask. When I wrote an email to the vendor (Kathys To Your Door) asking for instructions, this is what I received via email reply: "The Goproz Rubber ring is what attaches to the bottles. You just place the ring under the cap keeper of any of the wide mouth bottles this will fit on. Once the cap is secured on the bottle you are set up and ready to go. If you look at any of the many pictures for the ASIN: B017K9LMX2 You will see where the ring fastens under the cap keeper of any of the various bottles." This didn't explain how the paracord handle attaches to the flask and was confusing with respect to the proper attachment of the rubber ring. Detailed instructions with photos would've been helpful and more professional.I found that the rubber ring has to slide over the stainless steel lip that's just below the neck of the Hydro Flask. It cannot just be placed under the screw-on cap. The cap needs to screw onto the flask tightly enough so that the neoprene gasket inside the cap makes contact with the mouth of the flask, otherwise you will have water/liquids pouring out when you try to drink. Placing the rubber ring over the mouth of the flask and then simply screwing the cap on over the ring prevents the cap from screwing all the way on due to the thickness of the rubber ring. However, if you force the rubber ring over the stainless steel lip just below where the bottom of the cap rests against the bottom of the neck of the flask ... that securely attaches the ring to the flask and doesn't prevent the cap from screwing on tightly enough to make a good seal.The paracord has a loop with a sliding compression keeper on one side of the loop. I found that placing the loop under the rubber ring (after the ring has been securely attached to the flask) and then tightening the loop with the keeper provides adequate security to carry a full flask by the paracord handle. However, I also used the (carabiner) clip that is attached to the rubber ring for added security. By running the loop of the paracord through the carabiner if the paracord loop should loosen and the flask slip out of the loop, the flask will not fall to the ground because the carabiner will still be attached to the paracord. The security of the rubber ring will ensure the flask doesn't drop and become damaged if the paracord loop loosens and slips off. See attached photo. Hope this helps...

Update:Almost immediately after posting my original review, I got a reply on here + an email in response. Gearproz is on top of things!They apologized for the trouble I had with the item, offered an explanation, and offered to fix this in a way that is better than I would have even requested. I am seriously impressed and look forward to having a sturdier carrier again.Pro-tips:-don't get this one for a 40 oz Hydro, the net version works better-if you ever have to buy gear like this, make sure you get it from Gearproz. They're good eggs :)Original Review:I hate this carrier!Earlier this year, I bought the version that covers the entire bottle. I love that one, so when my husband decided he liked it and stole it from me for his own Hydroflask, I bought this one. I thought I'd like it better, as the other version is a little bit bulky. This one looks great, but it works so poorly. It loosens up constantly, I am forever trying to tighten it. It has dropped my Hydroflask multiple times, which has resulted in dents and scratches on my previously pristine bottle (as well as a ridiculously loud noise that terrifies anyone near me).I hate it.I totally hate this.I want to exchange it for the version that I know I prefer, but I am just outside of the return/exchange window now :(Gearproz, contact me if I can swap it out, pretty please!

I ordered myself a Hydro Flask and all the accessories after seeing my sister-in-laws. It has been one of the BEST purchases I could have ever made!!! I have a toddler and am currently pregnant and always on the go. My Flask keeps my drinks cold and holds ice for days! I have the rubber sleeve for impact (toddler and banging around...extra protection) and the Cord handle is a life saver!!!! I always have my hands full with little ones and bags, ect... having my hydro cord handle has allowed me to always have my bottle with me, even when my hands are full!My husband made fun of me and my "cup" until a few days into me having mine. Then......he had to get his own! lol! I could not get his here fast enough. A week or so in, his handle started to unravel so he just took it off. The company had been emailing me asking what I thought of the purchase and product and I always blow those emails off.....until I saw that it was a small family owned business so I replied back. Even though his handle had started to fall apart we were still completely satisfied and thrilled with it all! BUT they are replacing his cord, even though there was no "emergency" for us to unravel it and we had no proof other than my word that it was falling apart.

Awesome paracord handle. Feels and looks sturdy love it.

With the help of someone I barley managed to fit it on my 64oz bottle. Definitely worth it though.

I take my water bottle with me all the time and this handle and carabiner makes carrying it around so easy. When I need to carry a bunch of stuff to my car or I need my hands free I can just now clip my water bottle onto my purse or pack. I love that.The handle is really well made of thick paracord. I was surprised (and happy) that its such good quality. I have been using the handle for almost 2 months. Its one of those things that has made it so convenient to have my water bottle with me that I can't imagine not having one on a bottle.I got mine in pink camo. Great color. I bought 2 more for my nephews who hike and bike all the time. Both in army green. Great product!

I broke the handle on my straw lid for my hydro flask and instead of buying a new one I bought this handle. I absolutely love it! So much easier to carry and very sturdy. Only thing is it was kinda hard to put on. But I got it on and it’s amazing!

Works great, appreciate that I am able to loop it over my arm up to my elbow, leaving my hands free.
