Does what I want it to do
When I first tried this, using the instructions, I could get it to seal but not vacuum. I was very frustrated so I called the customer service number and was advised that no one was available to take my call but someone would call me back. That was over 2 weeks ago and I have not received a call back. I decided to try my luck with it again and I figured out that the opening of the bag needs to be at a certain place. It vacuumed and sealed and performed as I expected it to. Unfortunately, the directions are not very explicit and their customer service leaves something to be desired.

Excellent vacuum sealer for the price
Bought this product for two purposes: sous vide and freezer storage. It was nice that it came with starter bags because when it arrived, my bags were a delivery day behind and I couldn't wait to start trying it. The machine itself is plastic and light-weight, but still sits firmly on the counter when operating. The vacuum area for the insertion of the open bag when vacuuming is small, which is a minus because when you vacuum-seal, one edge of the bag will be slightly higher than the other edge because the sealer is higher than the counter (See hint #1 below on how to solve this).This is a great starter vacuum sealer. I have been using it for 6 months without a problem. The pictue I included is a seasoned porterhouse steak from my freezer that I sealed 4 months ago.Hints:#1: Use a trivet or stack up kitchen towels in front of the sealer to get it to the same height as the sealer so the bag lays horizontal with the sealing mechanism.#2: Buy a big roll of bags. Cut straight as possible. And if doing sous vide, don't be frugal about extra baggage, you may need extra to clip to the side of your container.#3: Bags have a rough side and a smooth side. When sealing chicken breasts, make sure you match the smooth side of the chicken breast with the smooth side of the bag. And obviously for any other of this type of poultry.#4: I really couldn't ding this product a star for this because it is included in their manual. "Clicking a bag down should produce a click on the right AND a click on the left so you know your bag is ready for operation.

Here's what the instruction manual doesn't tell you.
The instructions say, "Plug the machine in and turn it on." We plugged it in and looked and looked for the "on" switch. After calling the company, we learned there is no "on" switch. Plugging it in is all you need to do.Then we tried to vacuum seal a bag of green beans from the garden. Nothing happened. The agent (who was still on the phone) suggested we just try "seal." That worked, but we had air in the bag. We cut off the seal and this made the bag shorter. We tucked the end carefully into the vacuum area. Then we made sure the machine locked on both sides, and we pressed "vac seal." This time it worked.So four suggestions for the manual and any other buyers:1. There is no "on" switch. Just plug it in.2. Ideally, the bag should not be more than an inch or one-and-one-half inches longer than the contents of the bag.3. Be sure to get the bag end to be sealed down into the vacuum chamber nice and flat.4. Be sure the machine locks on both sides before you press "vac seal."It's a little noisy, but not terribly irritating. We sealed five bags one after the other, and all of them sealed well after we got the first one figured out. Overall, I'd give it 4.5 stars.3.

Wedding Gift
I always wanted one I brought this for my cousin as a wedding gift. A husband and 2 sons I thought this would be perfect to save her meats & veggies from going bad.

Happy with this!
I am excited to have this product in my kitchen arsenal... The only reason four stars is because the first one i got did not work well at all. Crapped out after sealing 4 bags and vaccum sealing one 6oz steak.🤦This product is so much more quieter than other vaccum seal machines ive had in the past. The suction is good, the seal so far so good. Easy to store and not heavy weight wise. I dont gave vaccum jars, to see how well that function works and i havent tried the gental vaccum for chip crackers and such. But i realy do love it for vaccum sealing meats. I recomend this💯%

You need to let people know to make sure it's locked
Other than having a little problem at first.. I figured it out to make sure it's locked. Really love it know

Right out of the box
After looking at the top 10 vacuum sealers on Amazon, I decided to try this one out. I bought a 9 lb Pork tenderloin, sliced it up, and used this vacuum sealer. It worked perfectly right out of the box. Not a single problem. Great bang for your buck. Sealed great. Good vacuum, and not loud. I would recommend this to anyone. Simple and works great.

Save you money
I USE ALL THE TIME TO PUT UP MEATS AND VEG FOR THE FREZZER. AND RESEAL YOUR CHIP BAGS.
