Small Drone Big Features
This drone is amazingly stable in flight and very fun to fly for its size it is one of the most advanced drones on the market. I really like the headlight function and the decals on this drone since it usually grabs attention and adds to the experience and since you can fly this drone with your Android or Apple mobile device, tablet, and etc through Parrots app anyone can fly this drone and perform maneuvers like a pro. There are three small things however that I dont like about this drone though 1.Drone works off of Bluetooth and not WiFi 2.Flying the drone on the controller or ace modes can be difficult due to the virtual joysticks on your device 3.Drone comes with one battery instead of two so every 5-8 mins you are looking for a receptacle to charge the drone for about 25 mins. All things considered this is the drone to have if you want a high tech, easy to fly, nicely crafted drone. Also as a side note I had to contact Parrot customer service and they responded quickly to my email and even sent me a part for this drone at no cost even though I bought it as an open box item.

Maclane on the case
This is my second Drone to own. My first being a Mini Proto X. The Proto X is very hard to control on it's tiny remote, but it's worth a few laughs while trying to control it's erratic behaviors. The Parrot MiniDrone on the other hand has features the micro drone does not, which makes the experience a lot more enjoyable. The Parrot is also app driven by a phone or tablet which means no controller to fumble with. If you follow the instructions for the Parrot MiniDrone when you buy it, you won't have any troubles at all. It's amazing. Flight time is roughly about 10 minutes so I suggest you buy more batteries and an external charger so you can enjoy playing with it even more. There is an on board camera on this Drone but it faces straight down, so you can only get top down photos from it, no video. Otherwise, it is a great mini Drone to learn with before moving up to something larger.

Unfortenutly has not been flying very well. Doesn't stay connected to my parrot controller. Doesn't respond to the commands from app or parrot controller. Really wanted this kind cause its able to be flown at night. 👎. I have the parrot mambo and is awesome responds very well to controlled and app.

Customer Service may be Parrots Redemption
When I received my Parrot Maclane I was excited to see how well it would fly. It is my first Parrot Mini Drone. As I took to flight, I noticed right or of the gate, there was a lag between the controller and the Drone. I was using my Motorola Turbo 2 with the app to fly the Drone. So I assumed maybe these drones are more "Apple friendly". I then connected the Maclane to my Flypad, which works great with my Bebop, and since this purchase, my Mambo. The Maclane also had connection issues with the Parrot Flypad. I would take the Drone into a funnel, and it would eventually get into a funnel, only after traveling much further than were I started the command to funnel. As I let go of the controller, the Maclane would just continue to yaw. I had my friend connect it to his phone, I think a Samsung. He had these same issues. I tried to do the updates, and it failed several times, on all controller devices. I was pretty disappointed with the Drone to say the least. I decided it was time to call Parrot Customer Service, (I was dreading the moment. Being put on "Hold Purgatory"). I was pleasantly surprised, that in just 2 or 3 selections on the automated service, and I was talking to a very pleasant woman on the other end. She was very patient, and worked with me to figure out a good resolution to the issue. Since the Drone would not update, she sent me an email asking me to reply with a proof of purchase, (I used a screenshot of my order from Amazon), and they would send me another email with return shipping instructions, to exchange the defective drone, with a new Drone. This whole process took place faster than I could write this review! I was very satisfied. Now the ball is in my court. As soon as my ink arrives from....Wherever it's coming from, I'll print out my shipping labels and send back the defect. The lady did tell me out could take up to 10 to 15 days to receive my new Drone. I think that's totally exceptable given the circumstances. For now, I'll leave my rating at a 3 star rating. If everything else goes this smoothly, I'll return and update the review and I suspect Parrot will earn the fourth Star. As for their customer service, I give them many accolades at this point. Fingers crossed. Till next time, I'm out.*******************3/27/17*******************I received my replacement Parrot Maclane today. The delay in getting the replacement earlier was on me. Parrot Customer Support gave me my return shipping label right away, after my initial complaint. I had no ink to print it, so I had to wait until I received my ink to print the labels in order to return the defective drone. So, I was very excited to receive the replacement Maclane. I charged the battery to ensure it was fully charged. Then I went to connect the Maclane to my phone for it's initial flight. Right away I had to install updates to the drone. No big deal, it happens from time to time. In order to get the best possible flights, updates are a very fluid part of continuous improvement. I did the update, I was FINALLY going to get the Mini Parrot I'd hoped for.......not quite! I connected the Drone to my cell phone, and did an auto take off. Perfect! It was when I started to elevate and yaw, when the Maclane decided to do is own ballet. It kept rising as I pulled back on the elevation. I left off the yaw and the the forward throttle, and the unit just raised and lowered about 4 to 5 inches, add spun on its axis. I had a very difficult time getting the Maclane to descend. As I kept holding the controls for the unit to return to my position, I hit the land button so it would land and turn off. Instead of landing, it drifted around while descending and bounced off the table as I was on the controls thrusting up and away from the table. Unfortunately, I'm not very happy about my experience with the Parrot Maclane Mini Drone whatsoever. I'll give customer service a call again in the morning to see if they can help me with a refund, or something. I really wanted to like this Mini Drone, as I do the Parrot Mambo. It just isn't in the cards. So for 2 strikes, I have no choice to remove another star. Hopefully, Parrot Customer Service will help me out in those regards, and retain the last 2 stars remaining. I'm sure they will. They have been great so far. Fingers crossed. I'll update again to let you know the outcome of the resolve.

Wanted this to be comparable to Mambo Fly
I thought this mini drone might be able to fly as smoothly as the Parrot Mambo Fly. It did not for me, perhaps it will for you. I bought this drone for $35 hoping it would be a good indoor flying/coding drone on a budget. This drone had trouble staying in the air with my ipad and also swayed or went up and down periodically on its own. I'm using these drones to fly and code in my classroom. I returned the Night Minidrones and think I'll go with another Mambo Fly even though it's twice the cost.If this drone could have worked well it would be a real niche in the market. There are not many Bluetooth/app controlled drones that can be used for computer programming under $50. I would put the drone in the beginner skill level category.

Great buy
Great value for the price. Better than expected. Seven year old grandson uses it regularly and it’s still working.
