Customer service issue
I was going to purchase this kit as recommended by the guy I talked to from Caswell this morning. After reading the other reviews I am happy to save my money. My experience with customer service was a bit rude, he laughed at me for buying the science kit, which supplied enough anode to coat 2 fasteners. He wouldn't tell me where to get a variable dc power converter, even though they are on the caswell site with a 250% mark up. He just wanted me to waste money on this kit

No Customer Service, bad product.
I bought the 3-gallon kit direct from Caswell to plate parts for my car restoration. After spending $280 for the kit and buying a power supply and heater, I got about 3 pounds worth of parts plated before the pickling solution went off. After that it would only produce a heave, dull gray zinc coating and would not take the yellow chromate. Response from Caswell customer service was Zero. Not even an automated reply. Terrible customer service. This kit cost me roughly $100 per pound of parts plated. I sent the other forty pounds of parts out for commercial plating and paid less than $10/pound with shipping.
