KeepCupReusable Coffee Cup - Brew Tempered Glass and Natural Cork, L 16oz/454ml - Saskatoon

I bought this as a gift for someone who covets my own keepcup.They are just perfect. Really.1. The company has environmental credentials that others can only aspire to2. The container is borosilicate glass so is really nice to drink out of and as robust as glass gets. The clever sip-through cap is a genius design, easy to clean and nice to drink through.3. You CAN slip off the cork band CAREFULLY so the glass and lid go in the dishwasher. To refit, simply grease the inside rim of the cork band with had moisturizer and be careful when you ease it back on. After a few times it will slip on more easily but won’t fall off.4. If you break or lose a part you can buy replacement parts individually from Keepcup themselves. Including the cork band (they last about 5 years if used daily and washed every day. My own Keepcup is 12 years old and has only had 2 replacement cork bands.Overall, these are a joy to use, work brilliantly, and will last a lifetime.

I dithered quite a bit before buying this cup. It's one of the more expensive available, but in the end I felt willing to pay for something that is well designed and will be a pleasure to use over and over again. I am not disappointed.The cup looks good and is very nice to hold in the hand. If you use it to buy take away coffees, the glass cup feels nice and warm and is not too hot to hold. The cork provides insulation if you want it, but I don't find the fact that the cork band is quite slim a problem. It's also nice to think that in small way I am supporting the cork industry (cork forests support a lot of biodiversity). I wash my cup by hand and the cork feels very robust under this kind of wear. It's not suitable for a dishwasher.The silicone cap fits tightly so it feels secure. I have noticed that coffee shops want me to take the cap off for them. Once full, I tend to swivel the light grey stopper over the drinking hole to prevent spillage. The manufacturers don't recommend this as they say sealing a hot drink like this can cause a build up of pressure. I can see their point, but my coffees are not so very hot and I only do it for very short periods when I am on the go. I like the fact that the cup wont leak, so I can run for a bus or whatever.Once I've finished my coffee I use the light grey stopper to cover the drinking hole again which stops any dregs leaking into my bag and keeps the drinking hole clean. It all works perfectly and I can't imagine wanting to use a disposable cup again.The only very slight issue I've encountered is that when I used the cup for a rooibosh tea the other day, there was a slight taste of coffee about it. I'm not really bothered, but perhaps some might be. I thought I had cleaned it well, but nevertheless the silicone lid seems to pick up strong flavours a bit.

An excellent drinks cup as long as you know what you're buying - this is an alternative to using disposable takeaway cups. It is not a Thermos-type sealed container - reviews that complain about cold coffee or not being able to throw it in a bag without leaking need to reconsider the purpose of what they've bought. Don't treat this like anything other than a reuseable takeaway cup; it's not leakproof and it's not made for keeping your coffee hot hours later.That out of the way, it's a really lovely product that feels nice to hold and so far seems to be very good quality. It's mostly easy to handwash although I avoid getting the cork wet as far as possible. It doesn't seem to hold on to tastes or smells once washed, the lid fits very snug and has a sliding seal over the mouth so you can hold it and walk easily without worrying about spills. The glass in my experience doesn't usually get too hot to touch, but the cork band keeps the heat off your fingers if you prefer and is comfortable to hold. Really nice colour and good size.

This was an upgrade from my original plastic KeepCup. It had done many years of excellent service in my work bag, but always suffered from being a plastic cup. Somehow tea just doesn't taste the same from a plastic cup! This glass cup solved that problem.To be clear, this isn't a cup for transporting liquid in your bag. It's probably going to leak, or lose it's lid completely. It's a cup for transporting your beverage from where it was created, to where it's going to be consumed...as long as that's not to far away, and doesn't include being turned horizontal! As a bonus, you can pre-heat or cool it, and it will keep your drink hotter or cooler than a plastic alternative.The downside, and the reason it only got 4*, is that you can't put it in a dishwasher. Cork no like dishwashers. This means more scrubbing and/or chemicals...and seems a fairly fundamental requirement for a cup!

I ordered it as a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it so much. He loves how elegant it looks and how practical it is for commuting and using it in the office. Perfect size easy to clean and no leakage.

Ideal to have a travel cup that is glass, doesn’t feel cheap like other ones I’ve had. Very well made and keeps the drink hot

Coffee stays hot longer. It's very sturdy. Nice top!!

Given the description of this product, I thought it would hold the temperature longer. The class is hot to handle, you have to keep your hands on the cork part but then the temperature quickly cools. It’s ok to keep at my work desk.

My wife and I love these cups, they looke very nice and work really good as well. The cork keeps the cup from being hot in your hand and the lid is also really good at keeping your coffee in the cup!

This is a fantastic, high quality product. It's super simple, and chic as a reusable coffee mug can get. I actually saw someone at my coffee shop using one and I had to ask what it was. It's really great for hot or iced drinks and I can't recommend it enough. I prefer to drink without the lid because I just don't like drinking out of plastic, but the lid isn't horrible if you are worried about that as well. I've rebought this one already in another size!

Leak proof, keeps the coffee hot, and looks so cute. I hand wash mine. Great quality.
