FlagPole BuddyRV Flag Pole Kit 16 Feet Ladder Mount

We have had our flagpole for about 2 months now. It was easy to install on our class A motor coach. It looks beautiful and we had not had any issues with it until we took it down to travel one day several weeks after putting it up. We tried to collapse the pole but it broke. We were so disappointed and I wrote the company and told them what had happened. Within days I was sent a new pole and we put the flag back up again. It has been up for almost a month now and it is doing great. (We did have to take it down once in between for travel again) It is not the sturdiest pole out there but so convenient and easy to take up and down! If you are careful with it you will get a lot of use out of this. We now spray the joints with a dry spray to keep it lubricated when putting it away for storage. If this pole wears out we will be purchasing another one for sure as we are very happy with it and the company that stood behind it's product! Others in our RV park have the same pole and had no issues and love it. Purchased the light also and are very happy.

I bought the 16' flagpole version which has five extendable sections which recess into each other. I like that it's fiber glass but it could be a thicker material. The weight of the flagpole is fairly easy to manage and maybe thicker fiberglass would add too much weight.The pole sways maybe 3-5 inches in a light breeze (enough to unfurl the flag). There have been mixed reviews about sturdiness in a heavy wind (25-30 mph) with some saying it held up well and other saying the pole broke. Time will tell as there is almost always a stiff afternoon breeze (15-20 mph) in the Rocky Mountains, and sometimes worse. Anything over 30-35 mph and I would take it down if I was around the camp. I added the FlagPole Buddy Solar Powered LED Flagpole Light to the top and that is likely to cause more sway in the pole.The swivel rings for attaching the flag(s) seem sturdy enough and the carabiners are definitely sturdy enough. The lock pins each have a 1 inch split key ring for easy pulling, but I replaced one with a half inch ring for the pin I insert between the two closely spaced swivel rings with carabiners. I did that because the larger o-ring prevented the carabiner from swiveling around the pole with the flag.Fully extended to 16' gives plenty of room to fly another 5'x3' flag under the included 5'x3' U.S. flag, which seems like it is good quality, but usage will determine if I am right. If only flying one flag I am likely to keep the next to last flagpole segment retracted, but since each segment sits loosely inside the one below there could be a potential issue with the retracted segment rattling around to much inside.Overall, I'm satisfied, but for a $141 there could be improvements in the sturdiness because I will be very unsatisfied if this breaks.

I really had a hard time coming to grips with spending a pretty penny on a flag pole (I had been using PVC from Home Depot), but this thing is fantastic. So easy to set up and very durable. I deserve a commission - at least 5 people I know bought one after seeing how easy mine was to set up at each campsite. Would buy again if I needed another.

I down graded this review as the plastic rings that hold the flag are not well constructed and have come apart. There were 2 carabiner hooks that broke when clasping the flag to them. I will need to order new rings and 2 carabiner hooks to fly my flags again

Works great, I already had a 22ft for the flags. I bought this one specific for my Starlink dish. Bought the starlink adapter and it all works well together.If installing a second pole on the left side of the ladder, make sure to back out the set screw on the bottom to know what angle it needs to be.Second install tip is to use a separate ladder. The RV ladder does not give enough working space.

The things that sold me on this flag pole was the way that it attaches to the ladder. Once the brackets are in place, attaching the flags to the pole and placing it into position takes maybe 3 or 4 minutes, if you putter along. I looked at the less expensive flag pole mounts that are held in place by placing the plate under your tire. The problem I had with those is simple. As the wind blows the flag, the pole will move with it, and will strike the fiberglass shell of my RV. The possibility of damage to the shell strikes me as likely.I believe one of the cons to this FlagPole Buddy kit in earlier reviews was that the kit only included 2 pins for the lower 2 sections, which allowed the top 2 sections to collapse in the wind. It looks like the company addressed this concern, as my pole came with 4 pins for all 4 sections.I am very happy with the flag pole, and the kit includes a 3x5 American flag to get you started.

Bought this for my RV which is located in Little River, SC. It was an easy setup and easy to take down in a hurry if needed. So we were out and a pop up thunderstorms came in. I could not get back in time to take the flagpole down. When we got home, my flagpole was down and broke in 2 sections. I emailed Flagpole Buddy customer service and told them what happened and told them it was my fault and I was wondering if I could just buy the broken sections rather than another whole setup. They put me in touch with the manufacturer who called me today and informed me that they are sending 2 new sections under their warranty. I was surprised and elated. Both the CS at Flagpole Buddy and the manufacturer are a 5 star in my book!!!!
