Better than Advertised
This thing is beautiful, way nicer than it looks in photos. The mirror-like black finish is so reflective it flashes highlights from the decor around it, particularly floor covering. This causes it to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. All of my A/V gear fits inside, out of sight. The glass front seems to weaken IR remote signals but not block them completely, allowing remotes to control components if precisely aimed. An inexpensive repeater is available to boost remote signals if desired. The description describes the glass as "black frosted" but I would describe it as, "black, super smooth and shiny." I see nothing I would consider frosted or cloudy.Nice furniture in my contemporary decor.

Heavy duty, beautiful to look at and just what I was looking for!
I was worried about the price and what I was getting, well consider that no longer. What a great media cabinet. I love this thing. Gorgeous at every angle. Matches perfectly with my TCL 75R655 and MB Quart speakers. Onkyo TX-NR6100 fits nicely in the bottom left, power conditioner bottom middle, DaytonAudio APA150 sub amp top middle and Sony BD player upper right. There's tons of space left over it you have gaming equipment or other items. I do have an 8 port switch in the back you can even see with the door down. Love this!

Door will bow over time if left open.
Purchased from Vicis Trading - very fast shipping, arrived one day ahead of schedule (which threw off my schedule). Review has nothing to do with the seller.Like most I was looking at similar BDI units at 2-3x the price. You get what you pay for as they say.Lots and LOTS of styrofoam, unit arrived in one piece.Assembly took a little over an hour; if you have ever assembled and MDF/Ikea product you can do this. A few of the predrilled holes were very delectate and upon inserting the screws chipped the surface (inside so who cares) but the area felt dry and brittle. Don't over tighten! Best to hand tighten (no drills) and don't torque anything down, when you feel resistance, stop or you will risk stripping the wood. The instructions are very easy to follow, though two images on the instructions (3a and 4a) are shown reversed, not a big deal, just pay attention and use the cable holes as your guide for where the shelf screws screws go (this applies to the shelf supports). The shelving gave me the most hassle as you assemble the unit first and then slide the shelves in and secure them, the issue here is the nature of MDF cabinets, not everything lines up 100% and in order to get the shelves to accept the screws into the predetermined slots (the cabinet walls have screws that stick out for the shelf to accept and rest on, there are slots in the shelf that accept these; I had to overtighten/hammer the screws further in than suggested, to get them all to line up so the shelf sits flush, not a big deal but a hassle. The flow of assembly makes sense until you reach the very end. The cabinet area (literally the entirety of the unit) is assembled first after which it is to be placed on the base (with the wheels) and then secured by T-bolts and screws via pre-drilled holes. The issue here is that you need to place the unit on the base, the clearance from the floor to the base is ~1/8" inch and there is no way to secure the bottom most t-bolts (they are not held in place until you screw into them) or slide them in with the unit on the ground, let alone hold them in place; you have to either stand the unit upright or place something underneath to rest on in order to get enough clearance as you need the door open to reach in and tighten. The door.It too some fiddling to get it close properly, even after adjustment of the magnet enclosure mechanism and if it does somehow remain closed tapping the top, bumping into it or walking past it is enough to cause it to open. The magnetic enclosure is the 'push, click' to engage the magnets and same to open (I assume) push the door in to engage the magnets and have it open. These magnets are two rods that push into the top shelf. Firstly, they don't line up with the actual magnets on the door, they just barley touch, which seems to be the main issue of it not being secure. Second, it's just sloppy/cheap...two magnetic rods sticking out of the shelf...additionally the door does not close all the way/flush.Edit: Contact with the shipper resulted in 'well it must be user error'The only amount of user installation here is to screw the arm mounts to the until and door, these are pre/drilled with small pilot holes. It's impossible to screw this part up unless you deliberately do so (not the case here). The hinges on the door are pre-installed and these 'slot' into the pre-installed slots in base unit and you screw them down, that's it, there is no other installation required from the user at this point. *IF* you don't push the door hinges into their respective slots all the way, say a bit less than 1/8" and tighten them down, the door will engage the magnets 100% and remain close/function properly but there is nothing to adjust that will fix the gaps on the top or side of the door to the unit when closed).EDIT/UPDATE 3/10/23 - The unit has very poor ventilation, as such I had to either keep the door ajar or leave it fully open, leaving it fully open caused the door to actually BOW in the middle; I took it apart and threw it away

Better looking than functional but serves it's purpose
Looks very nice. Clean presentation. Unique. 2 boxes. Each close to 100 lbs.Compressed wood. 3 piston hinges 1 for each side and 1 for the middle. Instructions show to install all 3. No pre drilled holes for the hinge in the middle. If you were to drill the hole yourself the only place to attach the hinge for it operate properly is drilling through the center of the glass. It works fine with only 2 hinges. Although 1 of the hinges ripped out the wood after a month of use and took a chunk of the compressed wood with it. All the same 1 hinge works fine. As long as you have an IR repeater you probably won't open the cabinet frequently.Cabinet door held in place by 2 spring loaded magnets. The springs are very strong and finicky. They push out and don't go back in without trickery. I just push them in manually before I put the cabinet door back. Each magnet requires about 20 pounds of pressure to push in, something the leverage of the cabinet door could easily provide.Overall the presentation is unique sleek and clean which matters more to me because my vanity is what suaded me to buy this and people come over and compliment I am justified in the purchase.

This cabinet is great. The IR friendly pane on the front was the biggest draw for our home, and it works flawlessly, even with wireless game controllers for my PS4, Wii U, and Retron. The layout is conducive to fitting a ton of hardware into a relatively small space. Inside of my cabinet I have fit the following without any issues: a large Yamaha AV receiver, a cable box, an NES, an Atari 3600, a Retron 3 gaming system, a PlayStation 2, a PlayStation 4, a Nintendo WiiU, and a small Bluetooth receiver and Rocketfish unit. All of this while keeping my interior designer wife happy. The front is glass in wood frame, and the top is a large glass pane on top of wood which looks nice. The construction is seemingly high quality MDF, and seems very solid. The top portion of the cabinet is closed in the back with grommets/ cutouts leading out. The bottom is entirely open in the back, which is great for hardware that might put off a ton of heat, such as a modern gaming console. There are grommets connecting the bottom 3 sections.

Well designed / well made
This cabinet is very well designed and was relatively easy to build. There was a small glitch with being one bottom screw short, but it arrived within 4 days from across the world. It definitely serves our purpose of keeping the equipment behind a door with all the remotes working perfectly through the frosted glass. The standout feature for me was the packaging. It was the most well packed and protected piece of furniture I have ever opened and built.

Stylish and well made!
We needed a new TV stand and this stand looked cool on the picture, but our uncertainty was about the quality over the price paid. After reading some reviews I decided to risk and bought it. The package arrived exactly at promised date. Unpackaging / assembly was relatively easy -- I am far far away from being a handy man ))) Indeed, it looks great well made, modern and solid as advertised. After I placed it to our living room I have heard multiple comments from my wife, other family members and friends how awesome the piece looks, so we decided to buy more furniture of the same style and color (black) from this company, regardless that it's a bit pricy... Now we know it's worth it. They did a great job designing and building their furniture to meet and exceed our expectations!
