My cat is short haired with a very fine undercoat that is prone to form small but dense mats. A friend has a dollar store pet comb similar to this that works well on their cat and when I couldn’t find it at the dollar store I found this one on Amazon and was pleasantly surprised to receive a very sturdy and comfortable to use comb despite the relatively low price. The widely spaced side isn’t useful on the short haired cat but the narrow side is perfect for breaking up the matted fine hair and removing most of the clumps. I follow up with an even finer comb and the cat looks great. Also very sure the cat feels better too possibly because the small mats constantly pull on his skin. I’d buy again.

This is a well made comb. I use it on my lab and my short-haired chiweenie. They both love being combed with it and will fall asleep as I groom them. The comb itself is very easy to hold. It loosens and removes the hard to get undercoat hair while not hurting my puppies. The rounded teeth are a huge plus. I’ll be using this comb for a while versus the other combs I’ve purchased that are hard to hold or have teeth that are uncomfortable for my pups. I should note that I groom my pups daily and finish off with a quality bristle brush.

It’s well made, works well but no different than the plastic with wide teeth and much cheaper.

Groomer wanted me to start using a comb to manage my dogs fur instead of a brush and this gives me exactly what I needed, in one. Very sturdy and the grip makes it easy and comfortable to hold. I can reach down to the skin and comb the entire length of the hair shaft.

Got sick of breaking plastic bristles off our comb so I brought this comb for me to use..I have long straight hair.. IIt works great, works good to get rid of tangles easily without hurting. Haven’t broken a tooth yet. I have been using it for about two years. It’s easy to cleanI’m sure it would work great on pets too

Seems to be of good quality, but the teeth are too far apart even on the more narrow side for my pet.
