Some reviews are for a different product
This is confusing, some of these reviews mention aluminium, i3, 13" screen etc.. is this seller is misleading us? Regardless, for the money I am happy with this laptopI just needed a cheapo laptop for browsing the internet. I originally had a geo 11", which is one of the cheapest laptops on amazon at £50 less. It performed well but had a terrible screen which went wrong after 6 weeks. This one seems to be a similar cheap plastic build quality, except it's 14" and the screen is much nicer. I paid a 1/3 more for this and it looks and feels like I got what I paid for.It comes with a US keyboard and UK rubber overlay, the overlay feels nice so no complaints there.

Perfect for School Work, Office Documents and Watching Video Streaming
I needed a "no thrills" laptop, just for spreadsheet and other document work, as well as Internet browsing and watching streamed movies. It needed to be lightweight and small for portability. I have a custom made gaming laptop, but it's bulky and not lightweight at all. I opted for this one as it had good reviews and was not too expensive. When it arrived I was surprised just how light and small it was (13" screen). It also appears to be of a quality design/build.The set up took a couple of hours purely because there were some large and major Windows updates to download and install. Once everything was set up to my preferences I was ready to go.For the use I intended for it, it works very well indeed. It's not as fast, obviously, as my gaming laptop, but it's certainly fast enough for my needs. It boots up very quickly. The screen and quality of display is impressive. It looks clear and sharp on the whole. It comes with a US English keyboard but I also received a thin, rubber skin-like keyboard cover that has the UK English keyboard on it. This skin fits snuggly over the laptop's own keyboard, to essentially covert your keyboard to a UK English one, and it really looks great. You just have to remember to set up the keyboard to UK English in Windows itself, which is easy enough to do.My one gripe with this laptop is that it only has one USB port. It seemed to have an issue with recognising a brand new USB 3.0 external SSD hard drive. It kept connecting and then immediately disconnecting in a never ending circle. I tried another, USB 2.0, external drive but this one would not even register with this laptop. However, I believe it is a fault with the external drive, as it is not recognised by my gaming laptop either. So I tried again with a third USB 2.0 drive, and this one worked just fine. I also plugged in an Infra-red receiver USB plug in order for me to use a wireless mouse, and that works fine too. This tells me that the USB port on this laptop is functioning properly.Battery life seems good. From 100% I used the laptop constantly for about 6 hours, doing spreadsheets and Word documents, and still had 25% battery remaining. So, all in all I am very happy with this laptop. You wont be able to play games on it, except very basic ones such as minesweeper and solitaire. Try playing the latest video games, say, the newest COD, and this laptop will probably just tell you where to go.

Good value laptop
This is I think good balance between price and quality, you are getting metal body with really decent parts inside for decent price.Of course you can get better processor or battery life but you'll pay much more so overall good compromise if you don't want to spend more.

Another disappointment from the Chinese mobile devices industry
It was only whilst setting up, that I realised it wasn't a touch screen. I'm not particularly fond of the finger pad on the keyboard, but using a Bluetooth mouse made all the difference. I just need to remember its the same process as with a desktop PC, rather than a touch screen laptop. To switch on, hold start button top right of keyboard until blue light shows - the extreme left of three at the top of keyboard.Pros:(1). Very easy to set up, replacing the awful MS Edge with Chrome browser.(2). Beautiful screen presentation - clear, colourful and bright - provided you have the "brightness for the built-in display" turned up to highest!(3). Screen goes off when closed down to keyboard, saving power - ish! However, it looses an astonishing amount of battery when closed.(4). It is quick reactions on screen.(5). Freeview TV guide works effortlessly. TV viewing as good as on a desktop PC, except, as below.Cons:(1). It can't broadcast ITV2 !! Why? It can broadcast all others I usually watch (BBC iPlayer; Ch4, all ITV except ITV2, Ch5, UKTV Play, Drama, etc). But can't watch a favourite, You've been Framed!(2). Screen, being glass, reflects any light; though it's just a case of repositioning it where possible.(3). Any white background is, in fact, a greyish-white, even with the brightness turn up to full. It could have done with a screen filter.(4). If it had been a touch screen, it would have made a great laptop, with best of both worlds - ish.(5). Camera is only facing user one. No camera on back, so you can't switch cameras during a video call.(6). Video calls - lips and speech not in sync, you have to sit perfectly still otherwise you get distortion, and much worse if you move the screen at all - but peculiarly it is not the case if you make a video, which turns out fine, apart from the darkness. Furthermore, any even slight movement of the screen causes an excessive ripple effect down the screen. Camera/video quality is awful, though.(7). Speakers are very poor, sited underneath the device making it a muffled effect, sound quality is pitiful; tinny.(7). Opening Word documents created on a computer is normally fine, but if you have inserts like pictures, text boxes, or you have designed a front cover with text over a background picture, it will appear different when opened in this laptop, your hard work of design will have changed! Doesn't happen on my old Samsung Galaxy S 10.5.(8). The battery needs charging every day, even when the screen has been closed down for the majority of the time.(9). Battery charge: After fully charged the evening before (2 hr 48 min), and with the screen closed to the keyboard, and very little use the following day, by evening the battery was sitting at 24% remaining; without further charging it overnight and the screen shut down to the keyboard the battery was at 16% (32 mins) remaining. I don't know if that is good or expected, but it loses charge more than twice that of the Chuwi Hi10 XR 2 in 1 laptop - both under same circumstances. Not using it all day since the morning check, by late evening the battery was down to 11% (22 mins). All with the screen closed to the keyboard. Not very encouraging.(10). You can't switch on while it is charging. You have to disconnect the charger, and reconnect charger once switched on!Another disappointment from the Chinese mobile devices industry. Returned
