Tough 1 420D Waterproof Miniature Sheet

I ordered 2 for my ponies. One was waterproof out of the bag and the other soaked through immediately. Thankfully I tested them before I needed to use them nd had time to waterproof them both. Other than that they're great blankets!

Fit as expected. Looks nice on my pony and keeps him dry underneath. Would buy again.

I bought this for a forecast of 4 straight days of rain with temps hovering between 39-41. My mini donkey was damp before I put the sheet on so I tried him with some towels and added a layer of hay on his back to allow him to dry under the sheet. The next morning he was soaked! I dried him off once again and this time I put a sheet of wool under his blanket to wick away the moisture until he felt dry. I removed the wool and just went back out to check him and he is soaked again!My standard size mare has on a Tough 1 medium weight turn out blanket and is dry! I’m definitely returning this sheet and may consider buying the Tough 1 medium weight turn out blanket instead. The fit is good and quality seems ok but I would not recommend this sheet if your looking for something waterproof.

I bought this blanket for my mini to keep the chill of night off after body shaving her. It certainly works excellent for that. It also does work fairly well to keep the rain off, it's been through some rainy nights, but I'm not sure how well it would work in a downpour. My girl has access to indoor and outdoor 24/7 and managed to stay in her stall most nights, so wasn't wet at all in the mornings.I do wish the material was a bit more durable. My girlie has been a bit rough on it, so it's got two small holes along each side where she ran it across her walls. But I don't think I'll have to worry about her doing that any more, I think she was getting used to wearing a blanket and rubbing. And I think the holes can be easily patched. I kept debating back and fourth between giving 4 stars or 3, but it does exactly what I wanted it to, and really is reasonably waterproof.As far as sizing goes, my girl measures about 36 1/2 inches from the point of her shoulder to the point of her rump, I bought a 40" blanket and it fits beautifully, she's even got a little room to get fat ;) but I like things to be a little bigger, just in case. The purple almost looked blue when I opened the box and looks blue in pictures, but it is indeed purple, and I have included a grouchy looking picture just because pictures are fun.

So far under light steady rain for 4 hrs it was very good. It was repelling the water. Nicely made and I like the crossed surcingle. My pony is about 11.2 & 250 lbs and all the straps are up as far as possible. So, if you have a bigger pony you will have plenty of room.

I live in South Florida, and it is very rare for it to get cold enough that I need to blanket my mini horse. I always have him body clipped in September and he has usually grown in enough coat again by January and I don’t worry about the few cold days that we might get. This year our temperatures dipped into the 30’s a few nights. This little blankie was just right to help him hold in enough body heat over night.AND he wore it 3 times and did not destroy it! Yay!

I have to honestly say.......at first I wasn't too impressed, it was just 'ok' in quality. Today, I'm giving ita 5 star rating and this is why! I live in Northern Ca and we've had a lot of cold cold rainy weather lately(snowed yesterday) and I had purchased this little waterproof sheet for the days it got up past 42* or so.Today was such a day (yay!) and I needed to pull her heavyweight blanket off and put this one on.Apparently, the last time I removed it from her I had just flung it over one of the fences causing it tosemi fold up. I couldn't believe it, it was like a balloon and had held all that water with no apparentleakage! I guess my point is....if you want a sheet that will keep them warm and DRY...THIS IS IT!!!

This was exactly what I was looking for. I had clipped our mini and we ended up getting some pretty cold nights with cold rain. This sheet was just enough warmth plus kept him dry.

Fits my mini perfectly. Would not be good for rough turnout, but all my mini's seem to get along and I don't worry about rips from biting. Was very waterproof during a recent rain. Hardware is good quality. Just wish they sold this in 1200D as well.

Bought 3 different sizes for my ponies. All were not waterproof on the first day. I've used Tough 1 blankets for many years (not bought on Amazon) and never had an issue with them not being waterproof. Returned and refund issued, but would not order here again.

The balnket fit my A sized mini very well but on the first day of wearing it in the rain the water had leaked through. Had to get waterproofing blanket spray for it. The fit was fine and seemed good quality.
