I was nervous to order these without any reviews to rely on, but took a leap of faith based on reviews of this company's similar products. It was a good move! These chairs are a nice dark brown - almost black in some lights (they perfectly match our table from Ikea, which is "brown-black"). They arrived packaged well with no cosmetic or structural damage, and my father-in-law was impressed with the details that made for sturdy assembly. The chairs feel solid when used (no wobbling or swaying) and are comfortable. I ordered only 1 pair in case they didn't live up to expectations, but had no hesitation with ordering the second set as soon as these were assembled and tested.

Bear in mind I've only ever bought these at a discount from Amazon Warehouse in "Like New" or "Very Good" condition, averaging maybe $70 per set of chairs. I've never paid ~$120 for a pair of chairs before, so my reference level may not be yours. That out of the way, they've definitely served their purpose well. The seat cushions definitely need some breaking in, but that's about the only "complaint" I could dredge up.The sole other reviwer accurately points out that the chairs are dark, perhaps a shade darker than the pictures. These chairs were exactly what I hoped they’d be. I already had the butterfly table that went with them!! Great purchase

I had ordered these same chairs about a month ago. I liked the first ones, but these looked like a cheaper version of the others. These were taller than the first two I had ordered also.

O go these chairs not realizing they were from the same company, East West Furniture, and the drop leaf dining table I bought. Amazing for the price.

I bought 2 sets of these and both boxes came in broken pieces.
