Good improvement
I didn't really know what to expect from this and bought it on a hunch and because it was so cheap. I have only used it for a few days, but I tried to use games that put it through it's paces and so far it's an improvement all around. I wouldn't say it revolutionizes the controller, but it makes the joysticks better as well as the triggers. I am a big Playstation fan and have always considered the PS controller as the most ideal controller (even though many would disagree), although it is definitely not perfect. The trigger caps give a much better grip and I never really liked the Dualshock 3's rounded triggers, so this fixes this perfectly. They don't impede other movements, so I'd say they work great. Also, R3 and L3 have always been a little slippery, especially when I get into some long gaming sessions, and these caps give a little extra grip. They have concentric rings on it that my thumbs can grip better. I felt them slip a little bit a while in, but they held up much better than I anticipated. Even when they started to slip a bit, I compared how it would be without them on another controller and that was still harder to handle, so an overall improvement. So all in all, they are easy to install, improve on everything they are supposed to and are cheap. I have always liked Pelican products because of the price and quality and this is no exception. Give it a try if you are waffling, I'd say they are worth the risk since they are pretty cheap.

Comfort, Control, Convenience.
I was skeptical about these triggers before I bought them. Could they really make that much of a difference?Yes, yes they can. I almost can't believe how much of a difference it makes in terms of precision and comfort. PS3 controllers should have been designed like this in the first place. Since that didn't happen, we have these easily added triggers. Playing games is now significantly easier on my wrists, I get more accurate control of the analogue buttons, and I no longer accidentally hit L2/R2 when I set down my controller (Well, it happens occasionally). The bonus caps for the sticks also make it easier to control, with the only downside being that the caps will very likely rub against any skin you might be using. I have a silicone skin on both my controllers for added grip, and the caps rub against the grip. This could be a problem, but it's not yet enough to get me to take the caps off.I bought a second set of these, I liked them so much. In all probability, I will continue using them for as long as I still have a PS3 and controllers for it.

Great product!
I play first person shooters quite often, especially Call of Duty, on my PS3. I was planning to simply get another controller to have as a just-in-case controller, and considered a cheap third controller for just that, but after reading reviews on a few third-party controllers, I realized that I would be taking a chance with one, and chances are, I would be burned if it didn't work right. I even had some people tell me that third-party controllers are junk for FPS games. So, I came across this, and thought this could be better than a third-party controller, because these dual triggers PLUS silicone caps are just add-on peripherals for official PS3 controllers. I tried this product on my controller for a few days after getting it, and I love it!I was used to using the L1 and R1 shoulder buttons for aiming and shooting in Modern Warfare 3, but I flipped the settings for the aim and fire actions to be on the L2 and R2 trigger buttons, and I haven't gone back to the default settings since, because the buttons now feel exactly what they're supposed to feel like: TRIGGERS! I only wish Battlefield 3 had the option to change the aim and trigger buttons. I do not know why Sony made the trigger buttons on the controllers flat when they first started selling the PS3, but that doesn't matter now.As for the silicone caps for the sticks, they have circular ridges on them, and they do help keep your thumbs from slipping off the sticks. It hasn't happened to me before I got these things, but I was somewhat concerned that it might happen someday. I'm glad I got this product! The only reason I'm rating this 4 stars is because I don't think the product improves your gaming performance, but that's just me. They're just nice add-on peripherals for PS3 controllers, and I definitely recommend getting them!

the triggers snapped on securely and seem comfortable. The plastic clip is forced to bend slightly ...
Giving these triggers a 'fair' (3 stars) rating, as technically they work. The packaging that is displayed is not remotely what arrived. What I received was two triggers and two caps that were in a small zip-lock baggie, with some re-purposed cardboard that was obviously cut from a FedEx box bent and taped around the baggie to create a small 'package'. Very amateur and non-professional packaging. Having said that, the triggers snapped on securely and seem comfortable. The plastic clip is forced to bend slightly outward to clip on to the buttons. I'm hoping that the plastic is not being stressed and going to break off or snap off easily. I haven't had a chance to use the controller much yet or to put it through stressful game playing. But at least initially, the triggers seem to snap on securely and feel comfortable.

You get what you pay for....
They get a two because they feel more comfortable than just using the controller as is, however out of package only one of them fits the controller so apparently I will need to buy another package so I can have two. Its very weird, my controller isn't broken and the piece isn't broken the one that fits will go on either side, and the one that doesn't wont fit on either side. But it is a nice addition and cheap enough I just need to purchase another set so I can have a matching set!
