Reminiscent of Sunday comics. Funny and clever. Worth a read!
“Social media hellscape” is an apt way to describe the author’s perception of social media, as he’s described and drawn in this book. “I Hope This Helps” by Tommy Siegel is a peek into the life of the author, whom has an uncanny knack of understanding millennial angst, vastly driven by social media.I appreciate the author’s self-deprecating humor and honesty about his social media/phone obsession and how he was able to turn that into these comics. There were many chuckles, a few laugh out loud moments while reading this book, and also a few thoughts of “how is he reading my mind?”I enjoyed learning about the author’s process of how he started drawing again and his 'one comic a day for 500 days' challenge. It’s been a long time since I’ve read the Sunday comics, and this was a great trip down memory lane. This book is worth reading if you enjoy comics, commentary on social media, and/or laughing at someone else’s angst (or your own). Also, check out his band, Jukebox the Ghost, for some great power pop music!

This Is Exactly The Kind of Picture Book I Need As An Adult
I've been a fan of Tommy Siegel for many years now, and this collection of comics and writings of his is a great read for someone like me who reads things in short spurts. I'm sure it's great for people who read more than that, too.In a world where there are simply not enough books for adults that feature pictures and illustrations, Tommy's drawings throughout this book are always good for a chuckle. His reflections on the state of the world are amusing if not very relatable, and his first-person style makes this read like a series of journal entries, being both introspective and existential. The footnotes had me cracking up throughout the book, and page 69 is the best page 69 I've ever laid eyes on. Go get this book.

Great book of comics.
I love Tommy’s sense of humor and art style. I also enjoy the written insights into his personal story and the ideas behind his comics. I’ve followed him on Instagram for awhile, and I love seeing all these comics together on nice big pages. Having a large tangible non-phone thing to flip through his comics is fun and takes me back to being a youngin flipping through my Far Side collections. It was also fun to watch my wife who hasn’t seen Tommy’s stuff before flip through and get some laughs too!

Too Short & Not Enough Comics
I wouldn't quite call this a comic book. In between several comics is a few pages of writing. It's all fantastic, but I finished the book way too quickly. The chapter order is a little strange too. However, I quite enjoyed this book anyway!

Odd cartoon, but enjoyable
Crazy cartoons (check out Mr Pringle), but a fun read

If you are older than 30...
Maybe look elsewhere for humor. I am NOT saying these cartoons and essays are not worthwhile, but their appeal is severely skewed to millennials. Again, not a slam. But if you are a full-fledged adult, you might do better with the entire library of Far Side books, or Steve Martin/Harry Bliss. I would like to see the cartoons this author comes up with in 25 years or so when he has a broader view, I imagine they will be gems. Also, I mistakenly thought something in here might relate in some humorous way to what has happened in 2020. Oops.

Laugh out loud funny! There's something very reassuring about seeing the weirdness of our daily life out there on paper, and with a sexy butt on it. This would make a great gift but it's also just a handy book to have around to remind yourself not to take it all too seriously (and to leave the phone at home when birb watching)Note- I'm in the UK and a couple of references were lost on me, but not enough to dampen my enjoyment!
