It works, but it was a bit difficult to find the right ones to use. Some YouTube videos can help, but I understand that the holes side with no bumps is used first, and the other side is used to define it and boy do you see the curls after that. Unfortunately, if you don't keep at it, and your hair isn't in good condition, and moisturized, the curl twist won't stay their for long. Will see if I can get this to work long term. My hair is 4b-ish and I am a black male.

Out off 3 the red & black is the only one that fell apart and my son just received this Saturday, June 20th. This is the 2nd one I received because it came in a 3 pack. It was too late to return the 1st order (that had 2 of the red & black alone) but these are worthless. It's sad that i can't return just this 1 item. Other than that the other 2 are perfect. No problems so far.

this works. i love using these sponges to play with my hair. each of the sponges gives a different pattern which is really cool. it requires very less effort to produce maximum result. Yes, this sounds good and will save you some money from the hair dresser. I really haven't used it the way the person who suggested it instructed me, as well as, some of the ads on Youtube. Well, I tried the large sponge and it took almost 45min to see some type of formation with dry hair. I didn't try it with the curl formation solutions being suggested. I know the circular motions creates heat. I believe it will work but to not get frustrated, do it while you are watching your favorite hour long movie/tv show so you won't notice how long its taking.

This is my second time ordering this product and each time, my son has had a hard forming the twists. In the first set one of the brushes was ineffective, so I thought it was my son. We threw those away and I ordered another set but no twist. Is it my son or the product? What is he doing wrong??
