Superb set, both in terms of quality and price
As above, superb - beautiful illustrations / diagrams (eg in the human body / dinosaurs), lovely photos, i am delighted with this, particularly in view of the very modest asking price.the only (perhaps) quibble is, as they are paperback, they will get bashed about, maybe torn or marked by my daughter and when my little boy gets round to using them in a few years time they might be bit dog eared. DK - a collection box would have been nice. but overall delighted

Good Value Educational set
These are great books and will last years, in termsof interest for children. They like them with they're younger and finding out about the wider world and I can see they'll be of use for homework / school projects in the future. Lots of images and informarion in each one. And such good value for this whole set.

Great value for money!
The price compared to retail price is fantastic (bought the 15 books for £35), and all the books will be used at some point or another to support the curriculum - a couple of them my daughter had already borrowed from her school library when learning a topic. So I’m glad to have them at hand.

Engaging (some)
This is a really nice collection. Some books have much greater merit than others, though. The Mythology book is rather out of place in an otherwise factual, educational setting. I've had to take that one away as the boys (7 & 9) found some of the content quite disturbing. The book on Shakespeare is also out of place to my mind and I don't feel I should be encouraging my boys to pursue an education in his works at their age (favourite subjects: murder, sex and betrayal). Otherwise, this is a good set. The Human Body is my 7 year old's favourite, and he is learning loads from it. He doesn't read adequately yet, relying on the pictures and asking questions, so the layout and images are key to gleaning the information. The Dinosaurs book is too advanced for my dinosaur-mad 4 year old. Bit of a shame, really, as he'll have grown out of his love of dinosaurs by the time that book would have otherwise taken his fancy.
