Excellent book with really good photos and description of all the projects mentioned in the book. Excellent presentation too. If you are a landscape architect who needs inspiration then this is the book for you.

Excellent ....Impressive landscape worldwide

There's a good range of practices covered - and it's interesting idea to pair an established practitioner with an up-and-coming one with shared design approaches. As many of these will be familiar to those with a broad appreciation for landscape architecture already, this book serves best as an introductory / intermediate step to learning about some of the key players across the profession.However I don't think some of the photos and projects chosen are the best suited to represent a certain practice or design philosophy, and neither is it particularly successful at communicating the projects, although I could appreciate some of the reasons for this.My biggest gripe with the book unfortunately lies in its writing. Developed presumably through email interviews with the people selected, the prose follows a certain restrictive pattern each time and becomes repetitive with little distinctive substance between the pages, and actually don't offer much in terms of critical new insight into their own practice or writings.It becomes a frustrating read, and not particularly strong as a reference / workbook, but must be said that it's well presented and works as a coffee-table or an early piece of reading for those wanting to learn about the current state of landscape architecture.
