Clearjel Starch Cook & Instant Varieties in Plastic Jug (Cook Type (Boil), 2 LB)

I make home made apple pie filling, and clearjel helped make the filling easier to use, more delicious, and perfectly thickened. No more runny, difficult to cut, apple pies!

The description said it came in cook and instant. I needed the kind I didn't have to cook.

I had never used this type of product. After making my own blueberry and cherry pie fillings to can, I understand why the recipes called for this by name. I tasted both fillings before I prepared them for the water-bath process and they were "Mm good!" The Clearjel allowed them to appear clear and not chalky. I am very glad I ordered the Clearjel Starch and that I had Amazon Prime to get it to me so quickly.

This works really well; I have purchased it twice already. It comes in a little handy container, and I have been happily canning pie fillings all summer long - blueberry, cherry, peach.. I can't wait for winter to come so I can enjoy it!

Used this to make canned apple pie filling, worked great and cannot taste this. Filling turned out wonderful!!

Worked just as good as the more costly clearjels and even better since it's in a container with a lid vs plastic bags.Packed in a large clear plastic container with a wide mouth for easy measuring.

Works like it is supposed to. I've only used it once so this is a new product for me but for canning I will now keep some on hand.
