I’d never understood propelling pencils - they would always break on me and it seemed so much simpler to get a normal one and a sharpener.Turns out I’d been using something cheap and nasty. This is a great pencil, comfortable to hold and grip with a good feel for soft and hard lines. I bought some 2B leads to replace the HB but I haven’t needed to use them yet.Recommended if you draw or sketch, or take notes.

Seen this on offer and sucummbed to the temptation! It is pricy but when it is on offer it is ideal.I like Rotring pens/pencils and I find that they are nice to write with. The only problem I have had with previous pencils is that the nib mechanisim seems to fail with me. Bit early for this one but I'm hoping the 600 works with no issues and lasts me a long time.The pencil is all metal and has a nice weight/feel to it with the weight more towards the nib. The gnarled surface at the nib end is just the right size when holding it. I bought the 0.5mm which I prefer to write with.At the other end it has a rotator selector for different types of lead; 2H, 4H, 2B, B, HB, F, H. I guess you select these depending on the size of lead you end up putting in it.I bought the green, it is quite dark which is great - could be describes as a forest green?I liked it so much I ended up buying a 600 pen to go with it.

I bought this to replace one that I dropped on a hard floor and bent the fine tube at the writing end of things. I've always liked Rotring kit and these pencils in particular. The addition of coloured bodies is a nice touch.

I do like buying things that look like they have the potential to last a lifetime and this is a robust pencil with all-metal externals and minimal plastic inside.The colour is really nice with a dark green/olive hue that’s professional looking enough for work and different enough that it’s not likely to be confused for anyone else’s pencil. To be honest I think the only thing that’s going to stop me using this pencil is if someone “borrows” it for an extended time.

I would highly recommend the 600 series of rotring (red circle) mechanical pencils. Exterior casing is made of metal and weighted perfectly for detailed drawing and drafting. The only complaint I have is that the tip is not retractable - I've bent 1 (irreparable) when it fell from table height. While this pencil is on the table, being used, and not being drawn to the ground by gravity, it is wonderful.

I have a love of mechanical pencils, I design wood and home improvement projects. The Rotring line of writing instruments are favorites of mine, I have 10 of so spread out between the 600 and 800 series. They are professional tools all very well built and ergonomically satisfying. I didn't need any more but we all have our "thing" and these are one of my things. I couldn't pass up adding some color to my stable of black and silver.

Este lapicero Rotring me sorprendió gratamente cuando vi que estan fabricados en Japón, ya que estoy coleccionando portaminas hasta ahora tengo 18 lapiceros todos japonéses, entre ellos marcas como Pentel, Zebra, Staedtler(tambien hecho en JP) y ahora se une este Rotring. Aunque la marca sea alemana como Staedtler se fabrican en JP. Esto es un sinónimo de gran calidad en construcción, es una pieza impecable de manufactura.Ahora hablando del diseño, si eres de los que ocasionalmente tomas el lapicero de la parte media, la diferencia entre la parte cilíndrica y la hexagonal tendrán algo de incomodidad. En la parte del agarre es algo raro, está muy delgado (parte cilíndrica con textura) en la foto donde la comparo con otros 2, verán esto que les menciono. En lo personal es cómoda para escribir, es pesada(pro/contra para algunos), todas las partes exteriores son de aluminio, aunque solo hay un pero, si eres de los que giran el lapicero para escribir/dibujar el clip puede estorbar algunas ocasiones, ya que su posición está más baja que de costumbre(por el indicador de dureza). El color azul me agrado mucho ya que por lo regular los portaminas premium son color aluminio, algo de color para que la colección sea mas colorida. El azul es anodizado, por lo que se ve color azul metálico (en mi opinión se ve hermoso contraste perfecto con la serigrafia roja de la marca y modelo).El precio se me hace algo elevado, 500 pesos(en descuento) creo que es algo elevado su precio, la de color aluminio la he visto en 400 algo mas acorde del producto. Un ejemplo de calidad precio son los Pentel Graphgear 1000 puedes encontrarlas desde 150 pesos y la calidad de construcción es la misma que esta Rotring. Otro aspecto importante es que tiene la graduación de dureza de las minas.

I have been using this pencil every day since buying it ten months ago. I bought some softer leads as I found that the ones it came with weren't to my liking, but the pencil itself is great. It has been many years since I owned one and I don't know why it took me so long to buy another, but I'm glad I did. Now, instead of using liquid paper over pen, I just use an eraser!
