Great Sound.
Great sound quality. I got a 14 inch for my 10 inch djembe, but that was cutting it too close. Luckily I had 2 more people to help me get it extremely precise. If you dont have extra hands, I would strongly recommend getting a 16-18 for a 10 inch head. We replaced the drumhead while it was soaked for an hour in cool water, I let it dry up overnight and WOW it sounds very bassy with crisp highs. I'm very pleased. My only thing is it was wrapped with tape and seller wrote numbers with some ink pen. They should use pencil and a rubber band instead. Other than that, i like it!

As described
Easy to work with. As described. I had to replace my Djembe skin after years of use. I'm hoping it will last me a while. Maybe I will update my review after a few months.

Great sound!
I'll start by telling you that I'm a total novice, and started out making a mistake. I soaked the skin for a good while, then realized I didn't have the third ring for the djembe! You'll be glad to know that letting it dry and resoaking it didn't hurt anything. Once I had everything I needed, I started over, and it worked beautifully. I'm so happy with the tone, and pretty proud that I did it myself.

Damaged - fold skins to harsh creating thin spots
Thick 36" goat skin was hard and folded sharply then stuff in small box. This created a series of creases across the center of the skin. As a result some of them are extra thin dimple spots all across head/skin. I have ran into this once before when ordering skins off line and after wetting and stretching the head these dimples sometimes quickly turn into tares or thin spot that rip shortly after. I am not new to stretching, replacing, tuning drum skins either. I do not want to risk it again considering cost, so now have to take time out and return. Other places I have ordered from roll the skins but do not fold them.

Great product
These skins were perfect for my banjo once I got the right size, super easy to prepare, I soaked mine with just a squirt bottle and it softened right up, do not let it soak in hot water because it will shrink up to half the size just a little squirt of cold tap water was all I needed. Great for banjos just make sure to order larger size then the size of the banjo head, or drum head so you have extra. For example my banjo head measures 10 5/8 inches accross so i ordered the twelve inch skin worked perfect, will definitely buy again.!!

Very satisfied
My djembe needed a new skin quick for an upcoming gig. 13 inch drum, the 20 inch skin was plenty. The skin arrived on time rolled up. It had some powder on it but rinsed most off.. i should have rinsed more. Took a half day to soak it in warm water. You'll want to watch a few videos on how to rehead your drum, it can be a little involved. It was kind of difficult to find the direction of the hair and the spine. The skin is shaved very cleanly and has an even, pale color. It sounds very good, deep clear bass and nice overtones on the slaps. I should have trimmed the excess a bit closer but I'm satisfied.

Works as advertised.
I had to rehead a 9-inch djembe. The rings were in okay shape. The skin soaked well. I then coated the bearing edge with shea butter, mounted the skin in the rings, and started weaving the loops. The next day, when the skin was dry, I tightened it down. It sounds great.
