Bought as a gift and recipient loved it

Doing kindergarten from home on a computer all day was not what my son or I had envisioned- i’ve tring to find way to incorporate little fun science experiments and other creative art projects as things to look forward too and physically do. The past few weeks I have been working hard to regrow grass in some dead spots in my law and my son has been very interested and wants to helps spread the seed and mulch over the bare spots. I thought i could find a growing kit for kids. We had a chia pet in the past and that was just a terrible mess and never grew well so this one attracted me because even if the grass doesnt grow it has other components. With the sand, rock and dirt layers we talked about sediments and how fertilizing the soil helps it grow. It was similar to one of those sand art projects. Bonus is I found a set with dinosaurs which my son loves. The light is such a nice feature and because there are moon and stars cutouts it projects them onto your childs wall as well. Happy to announce the seedlings did sprout and right ontime with my yard simultaneously!

Great fun for the little ones. They loved being able to assemble this project with little to no help-just some verbal instruction. They loved the lighting, too. The stickers add a little more detail to the jar. Already growing within one week. The only thing needed is EXTRA BLUE SAND and WHITE ROCKS. It would make a big difference in the final result. My 6yo son loves this, especially the LED light and the volcano. We planted his venus flytrap in it, and it's doing well. The one-star ding is because there was not enough white gravel to create a visible "layer" on the outside. Otherwise, perfect for what we needed it for.

This is easy set up. It helps Lil ones learn how things grow. It is a good learning tool, for the kids, my boy loves taking care of it. The night light feature is awesome, it changes different colors. My kid loves it so much he won't go to bed without it on. Great value for the money, I would recommend to any parent.

Great gift! Makes a wonderful nightlight. A little difficult for my 3 and 4 year olds to assemble.

The light on the tank dies pretty quickly though my son couldn’t really use it as a nightlight but aside from that very great terrarium looks beautiful
