Trasparenze Sara 20 Den Silky Stockings

Very nice basic stockings. "Basic" not in the negative sense--just no-frill, good, sturdy, comfortable, everyday hosiery. I moved to a really informal city recently and had a hard time finding decent stockings here, so I was glad to see Amazon started carrying these. Transparenze is a great brand, thank you. I'm 5'7" with a bit of a butt and thighs, and I got the stockings in large, just to be on the safe and comfortable side. It was a good choice, although I think I could go back down to medium when I lose a little weight. (I'm around 145 right now.) I do wear my stockings rather "high," though--hooked to a Rago open-bottom girdle--so I need a little more length than if I were wearing it with a garter belt that has long straps. I'm super-pale and the champagne is a beautiful color on me: it looks fairly natural but still has enough color to cover up my blotchiness. I got the black as well, which is a nice shade of black--reads very true, not one of those blue- or green-blacks. The Sara stockings have good reinforcement at the toe, none at the heel (but I don't really need that), and a soft yet sturdy band at the top. Not super-smooth or shiney, but soft and not at all scratchy.

I am curvy and a bit on the shorter side (5'4) so I have trouble finding thigh highs that fit my short legs and rounder thighs. So I'm happy to say these fit really great! They are definitely for garter straps as they have no rubber gripping strips on the inside like some thigh highs have, which was what I was expecting, but just reporting for reference, they won't stay up without them. And I don't get that horrible mushroom thigh problem I get with other stockings! Hizah! I am around 160 lbs and I ordered a size 3. They are very good quality too, I think they will last a lot longer than most other brands I've tried. I love how they are shaped for the leg, like when you hold them up you can see where the heel and calf should go, kinda like socks. They came from Italy so the shipping was longer than normal, but I got them weeks before the expected arrival time, so all in all I'm very pleased with these stockings!

If these were available on Amazon with the back seam, I'd have given them 5 stars. But even without the seam, these are luscious stockings. They are very light and airy, and feel fabulous against my skin. No sagging either, which is a plus. I wear a large, so I ordered the large stocking and it's a perfect fit.

I have purchased at least three different types of stockings. These by far are the best! They fit very, very well, are comfortable, don't wrinkle at the ankle, and so far have lasted much longer than anything else I've purchased. They look brand new, although I've worn them for about 6 weeks. I don't think that the price is all that bad. I bought some stockings that didn't even last two weeks, and if I had to replace them, they would have cost me much more in the long run than these stockings did. Love wearing these. I don't feel them cutting into my thighs, don't worry about runs, and love how my legs look.

I have been ordering these for over a year... I am 5'11 and curvy.... I order the XL for the additional length, though "Large" is actually a better "fit". These are super soft, have a good amount of "stretch" to them (very comfortable!) Added bonus, they do NOT run... Well, they do eventually, but they can definitely take some wear and tear before they do. Definitely have to wear with garters. They are beautiful Totally love them. **Additional information....** "Bronze" is actually "suntan" in color (sounds like it would be an off, dark color, but it isn't) - "Playa" is a more neutral, nude color.

The quality of these isn't fabulous, but it is manageable and probably on par with the price point. I found they stretched a bit as I wore them (sitting at dinner and walking a bit). But they didn't run or snag so I'll call it a win. The quality issue for me was more the texture not looking and feeling as nice as the type I used to buy (long ago Hanes Silk Reflections for daily wear or another brand with similar feel but had lace tops for special occasions). As I rarely wear stockings anymore these will do when I want a basic stocking. I absolutely despise the feel of pantyhose so unless the dress and occasion makes them a necessity I will always opt for stockings and a garter or simply bare legs. And my husband has never complained about that quirk ;-)

Cheap, stretchy and durable. In the fall and winter I often wear stockings with suspenders rather than tights or pantyhose. A lot of the sheers I've seen are either cheap and tacky, or are nice real nylon stockings. I hate wearing my expensive nylon stockings for daily wear because I'm clumsy, and getting a ladder feels tragic. These look really lovely for the price, so I'm not devastated if I put a run in them. They hold up really well though for 20 den. Also real nylon stockings aren't very flexible in size. I'd recommend these to new stockings wearers because they have stretch. Save the fancy french nylons for a special occasion. I have them in three colors, and the navy is very nice.

So why is a guy reviewing a pair of stockings? Well I purchased these as part of a Halloween costume (see Freddie Mercury in the video for "I Want To Break Free"). I went according to the size chart and they fit properly. They survived an entire night of being out and about, worn by a guy who really doesn't know what he's doing wearing these clothes, so I guess they're pretty durable. Sorry, don't know what else to say really other than they worked great for my costume.

RXCLLENT LEG SUPPORT AND SO SEXY

This cost more but is sooooo worth it! I'm glad I read the other reviews and decided to buy them. They are: Fantastic quality, very comfortable to wear, good thickness and coverage across the whole leg, lovely colour. They look stunning if your out somewhere special and they also look stunning and fit in with work wear. They don't feel cheap or look cheap. I will definitely be buying more.

La calza è molto bella e piacevole da indossare. Le misure di riferimento vanno bene: sono alta 1,72 e la misura L che ho scelto mi va bene. Consegna puntualissima, ottimo servizio, quindi consigliabile. Spero più avanti di trovare i due colori che attualmente non erano disponibili.
