A potentially body saving material that protects from various types of wave energy.
A concerning, but widely unknown fact is how strong cell phone signals, Wi-fi, and electromagnetic fields have become over the last three decades. As any competent Biology professor will tell you, a human body is an electro-chemical machine utilizing electrical impulses through nerves to move muscles, feel pain and pressure. Chemical actions within a body regulate cellular activity, hormones, break down food consumed into usable components, etc. Interference with those vital function can and do cause problems. Keeping all this in mind, Cell phone signals and Wi-fi utilize wave energy to operate. Wave energy can range from microwave, x-ray, radio waves, infrared and ultraviolet waves, essentially across the entire wave spectrum. For example, a Microwave oven uses microwave energy to make molecules vibrate rapidly creating heat, that cooks food, such as 'meat' etc. Meat is 'muscle' tissue. The metal sheet with small holes in the glass of a microwave creates a 'Faraday shield' through which microwave energy/signals cannot pass. As the wave strength of Cell phone signals and Wi-fi increases, the potential for disruption in Human cells increases exponentially. This is also true for Electromagnetic fields. Computers generate powerful magnetic fields. The strength of these fields decreases rapidly over distance, so the closer to the source, the stronger the wave and magnetic energy. Cell phones contain very powerful, miniaturized computers! They therefore create powerful electromagnetic fields. A 'Faraday shield' CAN stop all this harmful wave energy! 'Faraday shield' materials such as very light cloth, and blankets will protect you. The first thing you need to get is a device/tool can measure the strength of all these wave signals. Then check the wave strength of each device unshielded, and then shielded by a Faraday shield material. Now, the eye-opening part. Turn the measuring device/tool on while standing away from your cell phone, W-fi router, laptop, or Apple computer. You will notice that the various type of signal strengths displayed on the meter either reads zero, or very, very low from background sources. Then move the device closer and closer to the cell phone, computer, router etc., and watch the numbers (signal strength energy) skyrocket. Many devices also have warning lights. As those numbers increase a series of lights change from green to yellow, and the red light meaning extremely powerful. I have measured my iPhone 15 Pro, our whole house router, and pc. For all of them the signal strength goes 'off the charts' as you get close. Within two to six inches of the cell phone the cell signal, microwave band, and electromagnetic readings are alarming! The other devices are the same - alarming. Imagine the potential harm these can do to at the cellular level in your body (such as your brain), if held close for extended periods of time, or continual exposure such as having your phone on your hip all day, or in your pant pockets, close to reproductive organs. Think microwave cooking type damage. The GOOD news, the meter can detect the distances at which the signals can be dangerous, AND Faraday materials, such as cloth, or blankets can 'totally' block all these signals. Do some research and get some of these Faraday shield materials to protect yourself, and your children. A word to the wise . . . There are many types of Faraday shielding materials such as very light cloth, and blankets sold on Amazon. This cloth works phenomenally!

Works
I bought this because I am concerned about the effects of exposure to a mobile device attached to my arm all day at work and discomfort of heat... "Unfortunately" the shielding works too good, putting a layer just between the device and skin interferes with wifi connection, so am not able to use it for the original purpose, but found a couple other uses. There is a good amount of material for the price.

Almost rip-stop material that does indeed contain or attenuate RF energy
I have a really noisy (RF-wise) UPS that annoys my laboratory instruments, so I wrap this fabric around it to quiet things down a bit. Only problem is, it frays around the edges and tends to prevent air circulation thus making the electronics run hotter than I prefer. If you wrap a radio in this stuff, the radio will lose the signal it is tuned to, depending upon how strong the signal is. If you double-thickness this fabric, it doubles the RF attenuation, but it needs to be somewhat 'sealed' to stop any leaks. Once sealed it is very effective.

havn't tried it yet but will update
The material is lightweight yet firm and well made. The shredding problem can be alleviated by taping the edges if attaching the material onto a cardboard box (using as a faraday box for your internet modem). If sewing, just reinforce the raw cut edges to prevent shredding. One should not marvel if this shreds as any material with this type of weave would in time unless the raw edges are reinforced. This is not ordinary material and has some firmness to it- perfect for my faraday box project. I will be updating you after I get around to making it Update- 2/26/22: I just covered a small cardboard box with this material to cover my computer monitor, and it was very easy to work with- all I needed was duct tape along the edges. I also made a smaller cover for my Netgear wireless router for my pc that is in another part of my home farther from the monitor. I noticed several times tonight that when I place the faraday cloth cover over it, that I only have one signal bar showing on my pc. When I take it off, there are the usual 2 signal bars.- so this is definitely toning down the wireless strength. I've always had 2 bars on that computer anyway, and yet my internet quality is just fine; This is something everyone may want to get after 5G is implemented everywhere- as you don't truly NEED 5G bandwith for a fast enough internet connection. For the sake of yours, your family's and your housepets' health, you may want something like this covering your 5G modem to control alot of that excess EMF that you will have no choice over once it's all over the continent. My mother wants to carry her wireless portable phone on her while around the house to keep the phone available at all times. I was concerned about it being that close to her body, so it occurred to me to also make a faraday lining with this cloth to line the inside of a small bag she intends to use to contain her wireless phone. It took minutes to construct using duct tape- and I have peace of mind that it will give her some EMF protection

I tried it and it works
I wrapped my self in this fabric, a bit the way you might with a sleeping bag and tried using my phone. It took a minute or so and I had to make sure I was well wrapped, but then wifi signal dropped off, and I only had one bar left on my 5g signal. At times even that disappeared completely, it's just about how well sealed off it is. I was using it while it was folded in half, so two layers thick. I got this b/c I like to put my laptop on my lap and dont like the idea of the antenna on the underside of the computer being so close to my ovaries o_O I'll feel better using this as a lap mat and i'm even going to try sewing it in as a lining for clothes ir a blanket or something.
