I would like to replace my home security systems with this ip poe camera
I would like to replace my home security systems. I compare so many ip cameras and decide to try this ip poe camera. Finally it does not disappoint me. Configuration and security camera parameters were easy to set up on my system. The picture quality is clear and frame rate(set to max) is smooth on both night and day. the IR illuminator at night has decent range and I'm sure if paired with an additional illuminator would have good, clear, increased range.

Disappointed.
Somebody changed the default password before I got the camera. (It doesn't even tell you the default password by the way. I had to look it up) There is no reset button on these and you have to work with Hikvision to reset the password. Unfortunately, They won't help you if you buy from a reseller. I bought from Savvypixel and I can't find support. Returned. Disappointed.

I really like this turret compared to domes which causes weird hazing
I really like this turret compared to dome camera which causes weird hazing, debris, etc these things are clear! I have one of these ip poe dome camera, but the 3MP version at my front doorstep and the quality is just awesome.I just had to submit a return for GW Security's IP camera that had ""4 megapixel"" on the outside of the box when it's a 5MP camera or at least that's what it's advertised at. If you're new to IP cameras and you're not willing to spend 100+ then at least for now Hikvision cameras seem to be the best quality for the 70-100 range.Hopefully someone benefits from this review. Btw I'm running this ip poe camera with Blue Iris at 4MP 2fps 24x7.

I'm pretty pissed off
As of right now, I'm pretty pissed off. This camera DOES NOT COME WITH A POWER CORD OR ADAPTER as it should. I've purchased $30 cameras that came with EVERYTHING to hook it up, this one comes with nothing! This one is $75, and they couldn't toss in a $2 power cord and a $3 poe adapter? After I get it hooked up (if I decide not to return it) I will come back and edit this review. Until then, if you decide to buy one, you will need to buy the extras that should be in the box.

cube) and this camera is hands down one of the best values that you can purchase
I’ve tried various cameras (bullet, dome, cube) and this camera is hands down one of the best values that you can purchase. The quality of the picture (day and night) is superior and the menus are easy to navigate. If you are familiar with the Hikvision line of cameras with their menus, you should have no problems operating this camera.UNPACKING & SETUP:The camera feels like a premium camera with solid housing. The camera wire is dual purposed to allow for separate ethernet and 12v DC connection or ethernet with POE connection. The camera powered up very quickly and was found at a default ip address of 192.168.1.64. I had to change the network ip of my computer to be in the same subnet as the camera in order to find it. You can browse to 192.168.1.64 to begin camera setup.CAMERA:The images were clean and detailed. In fact, the images generated by this camera were some of the most detailed and highest quality that I have seen. The video is crisp and detailed in both day and night modes. You can either automatically or manually switch to night mode which turns on the IR lighting. Minimum illumination is 0 lux with the IR turned on. The camera boasts a max resolution of 2688*1520 at a frame rate of 20 which is more than adequate. Dropping the resolution down to 2560*1440P will give you a max frame rate of 30. Video compression utilizes the H.264 protocol for the main stream. H.264+ can be turned on if desired. Substream can be provided by H.264/MJPEG. You can also switch between PAL (50hz) and NTSC (60hz).The image sensor is CMOS and does have both DNR and WDR capabilities. Image settings include brightness, saturation, contrast, sharpness which are adjustable via the web browser or compatible client software. You can also enable Mirror mode, BLC, region of interest. The camera has motion detection capabilities, supports NAS storage and supports the ONVIF protocol (Profile S, Profile G), PSIA, CGI, ISAPI. Advanced settings include SNMP, FTP setup, Email setup, guardingvision.com setup, https ssl certificate setup, QOS setup, 802.1x setup. Alerts can be received via email. The camera with housing is IP66 certified which makes it weatherproof and able to tolerate temperature extremes of -22 to 140 degrees F with 95% or less humidity. The camera does not have a speaker or microphone.SUMMARY:This camera is of superior quality and priced significantly less than competitive models. The image provided is of superior quality and the menu options are feature rich. You can use the camera as a standalone device allowing multiple user logins with the ability to specify level of access or you can integrate into your existing IP based NVR system. The camera works perfectly with the Hikvision NVR system. The camera can be used in almost complete darkness and still gives a great bright clear picture. This is by far the best camera for the money that I have encountered.
