This grill was incredible. Cooking heat lasted over 3 hours and then plenty hot to roast marshmallows after. Simple to use and food has a great flavor. Highly recommended for camping or any survival planning pack.

we used this to try to cook 2 steaks. After an hour it still wasn't hot enough to give the steak any color. So we had to bring them in to cook them. We happened to look out of the glass door and the bottom of the grill had fallen totally out before the charcoal even turned white. Caught the wood we had under it on fire.. This deffinately a fire hazard as far as I am concered. Terrible product, we had the biggest m ess and it actually burned my table.

A group of us rented a house in the mountains for July 4th.The owner told us there was no grill, but we were welcome to bring our own.In the interest of cost, less cleanup, and transport hassle, I decided to buy this instead of a permanent portable grill.It works as advertised.Good temperature, long grill time, and the 4 of us grilled multiple rounds.The following morning, I put it back in the original box, and it went straight into the recycle bin when I got home.

There was no wire stand for the box even though a wire stand was shown on the box. Had the wire stand been included, I would have given the product a higher rating. This was an important omission.

My girlfriend and I used the charbox for the first time the other day with great results. Instructions were easy and simple. We let the grill sit for 30 min but should have waited an extra 10 as there was still a bit of smoke. The steaks on the other hand were juicy, tender and had that great charcoal taste you expect from a grill. We definitely recommend using this grill if you are camping, don’t have a grill or tailgating. We will be purchasing more for stocking stuffers and for ourselves!

Although it was easy to light, this grill did not meet our expectations. Once lit, there was a long time to wait for it to get to where we could start cooking. It cooked unevenly and was too hot. We sat it on a cookie sheet to protect the picnic table. It burned the coating off the cookie sheet and the heat burned a hole through the picnic table. I will not be purchasing again and do not recommend.

Bought this to bring to a 4th of July celebration at a friend's house; the friend only had a small grill and we were worried all the food wouldn't fit on his grill. Unfortunately, most of the charcoals would not light in this box and just emitted terrible smoke. Not worth the money.
