DK Eyewitness Travel Guide: South Africa

We were turned onto DK guides by fellow travelers to Italy a couple of years ago. Now we buy DK guidebooks whenever we're planning our next voyage. These guides show you what you'll be able to see and do as well as tell you. After all, most people learn more easily from photos and illustrations than they do from simply reading text. The South Africa guidebook is no exception. Lots of great detail in a region-by-region format. And once we're there, we'll be able to follow along as our human guide covers the same ground as our paper guide. What fun!

Beautiful book with so much information and gorgeous pictures of South Africa! We’re going to Africa soon and this makes me so excited to see this fascinating continent!! I love DK Eyewitness Travel Guides. I get them for every countries to which we travel. A must if you’re going to Africa.

I read this book cover to cover and used it all the time while in Africa, I thought it was a bit expensive when I first bought it, but if your are planning a tri, please get it. You will use it everyday

well illustrated comprehensive and relatively easy to use

I like to disconnect from the internet and my phone when I travel so this book was helpful to obtain bits of information including attractions, maps and a wildlife guide. I was happy to have it while travelling around South Africa. I used it as well as the Lonely Planet South Africa

DK Eyewitness Travel Guide is my favorite reference book when travelling. As usual, lots of useful information and photos of South Africa, history, sightseeing, etc.

Very detailed book, full of helpful tips on every region in the country. Tried out many hotels, restaurants and sites, all descriptions were spot on correct. Don't need to purchase any other guide books, this was exceptional.
