Amazing Product
I have been fighting algae bloom in my 10 gallon fishtank for the past month. I have done everything to get rid of it. I googled so much and found this product. Totally amazing. Got it yesterday and put 1ml in my tank and in 30 minutes the algae started to disappear. Then I watched my tank become clearer and clearer. It is completely clear now in less then 12 hours! No harm to my fish

The product work greatBut some reason my all fish died. I have the fish for four year. The fish sure the cloudy water but not the clear Cristal. I don’t if I put to much . It works but read the instructions. The water you are watching now it was dark. I didn’t even able to see the fish through. I change the water multiple times but no results until I use the liquid. But I am sad now, it killed my fish.

Aquarium Maintenance tool
Has been very helpful for my small 3 gallon fish tank maintenance. Helps prevent the algae I regularly get and decreases how much manual maintenance I have to perform.

Killed two of my fish and a nerite snail I had for many years. And never did clean the Algae.
I bought this because for the first time in 8 years because two different kinds of Algae started taking over my 20-gallon aquarium. I did other methods first before going to this but nothing else worked. Well, not only did this not work but it killed two of my very healthy Tiger Barbs and a loved Nerite snail I had for many years who was also very healthy. It says that it is safe for fish. But when this happened to me, I did some research, and I am not the only one this has happened to. You have to be very careful with this stuff. And I am especially upset because I can't even return this poison. I bought this bottle on June 18th and it said I couldn't return it because the return window was closed which was July 20th. That is only one month you have to return this. Less, if it takes a while to get to you through the mail. It takes about that long before you would even know if something is beginning to work or not and if you need to return it or not. Usually, Amazon gives you longer than this. Very disappointing! And I'll never get back the fish and snail I lost that meant more to me than just fish.

Amazing results!
This stuff works wonders!! My small (30 gallon) garden fish pond had an epic algae bloom this spring. It was disgusting. I couldn't see the fish. I couldn't see the rock structure I'd made for them to hide in, the top of which is about 8 or 9 inches below the surface. I accidentally dropped a small yellow bungee in the pond and couldn't see it to pull it back out. It was like pea soup. I used another product that did absolutely nothing. I used my regular standby, barley straw extract. It remained thick green grossness. I started using Algaefix on June 4, following the directions exactly as stated. I've got to say I was getting discouraged, but on about June 20 I thought maybe it was starting to clear up a little. Fingers were crossed. Prayers were said. I went out on June 22 to apply another dose and guess what? The water was CLEAR. It is amazing! I can see the fish. I can see their hiding place. I can see the yellow bungee on the bottom. I will continue to use it and the barley extract every week as they both direct. I strongly recommend this product and advise that you use it as directed and wait patiently for it to work, because it does!

My tropical fishes were not happy with Algaefix
- I had followed API’s written instructions and used only 1 ml to my10 gallons aquarium water. It does gradually lightly help to clear the algae in the tank water. However, I observed that also my tropical fishes suddenly became over-excited, and moved erratically fast back and forth, and were breathing heavily raising their blood pressure. They looked sick and sad for a long time, but thank God they did not die and normalized . I stopped using it and did not add anymore Algaefix for fear of it will kill my small fishes. I do not think this item is safe to use with fishes in the tank.- My Suggestion: I have other ways to control algae, like not using gravel; turn off filter when feeding each time, and use a fine small fish net to remove uneaten fish food and fish body waste left on bottom of tank; use algae cleaning sponges to wipe off algae on glass weekly; change fish tank water when needed.
