Great potential, BUT...
Let me start by saying this is my 3rd andoid tv device. 1st mini pc type. I love the set top box design and the external wifi is super strong and accepts miracast type connections. The plethora of ports is great too. The camera leave some clarity to be desired but it gets the job done. BUT! This thing has a major software issue going on and needs either a custom rom cooked up or for a firmware update to come out addressing the REBOOT issues. it will stay on for days but as soon as you use it for a couple minutes it reboots. Reboots when browsing, streaming, downloading, or anything. And to top it off, you have to have a certain usb male to usb male cable to flash different firmwares. I have the rk3188 based CWM recovery installed, just waiting to find a compatible rom. or i may just send the thing back. Hoping maybe RKM has the answer.. I bought mine from geekbuying.

Awesome device.
Purchased this item based off of the reviews of the previous model and took a chance. I was a bit worried when I saw that many had to flash a new firmware to get video's to stream correctly. Fortunately I didn't have that issue. This device works great for me aside from a couple minor issues. I purchased it to connect to my HD projector in my man cave. My man cave is in my basement and it has a finished ceiling and ceramic tile floor. With the way the ceiling joists are positioned there is no way to run wires in the ceiling without having to rip out the ceiling and drilling holes through the joist. So running a cable box line was out (as is a proper surround sound system). I purchased the MK902 so I would be able to steam Dish Network to the projector using the Dish Anywhere App. I plugged the MK902 into the projector using a HDMI cable and connected it to my Wireless N network. The Dish Anywhere app steams video nice and clear without hardly any stutters (maybe one small one every 45 minutes or so). I also tested it with Youtube, Google Play, HBO Go, and XBMC. All of them worked great. The only video streaming issue I had was when I loaded up an MLS pre-season soccer game. To get to the stream I had to go through the MLS website, and to do this I used the Chrome browser. The steam came in all fuzzy and distorted, but the audio was fine, and the stream never stuttered. It was just fuzzy like it was out of focus. The curious thing is that MLS was providing the stream through a dedicated Youtube channel, but you had to go through the MLS site to get it. As stated earlier, Youtube video's streamed just fine using the Youtube app. The problem was fixed though when I ditched the Chrome browser and just went with the standard Android browser. At that point the stream worked great.Another issue I ran into was when I hit the main menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Not sure what it is really called, but it has the home, back and other important buttons on it. With this custom skin Rikomagic used, you can actually hide the menu bar, but how you get it back is beyond me. I tried everything I could think of and the only way I got it back was by unplugging the MK902 and restarting it.The last issue I had was with waking up the MK902 It has a feature where you can turn it off which is really just putting it to sleep, but Rikomagic in the wisdom didn't put a power button on the MK902. I read online that the device wakes up with you power on the TV that you have the MK902 plugged into with the HDMI cable, however with my projector that didn't work. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in, that also didn't work. It didn't turn back on until I removed a device plugged into a USB port and plugged it back in. It then finally came back on. While the problem was annoying, I chalk this one down to my projector because when I plugged it into a standard LED tv the HDMI wake up feature worked just fine.Outside of those minor issues I love this device. It is fast, has a nice clear picture, streams video just fine and has plenty of USB ports and a micro SD expansion slot (I put a 24gb card in it but it can take up to 32gb). The device is really an Android stick (like a USB flash drive) but with the larger box you get the bigger antenna for a better wifi signal, the extra USB ports, and plenty of holes for better ventilation which many of the Android stick PC's suffer from and get to hot.All in all it's a great little device and I recommend it for anybody looking for a solid mini Android PC to make a dumb tv smart.
