This is perfect for those who like weight when they sleep, but not having to use multiple duvets to accomplish that feel. The only downside is that is does not cover the full queen size bed. All weighted blankets seem to be the same. I just makes if difficult if you are sleeping with a partner in a bed. The partner is only half covered so that the other can be fully covered. I usually have it hang just a bit over on one side so that when they turn over it still covers them. I did read the review ahead of time so I was expecting it and I do not need the weight so it was not an issue for me. Just making sure others know what to expect. I do not know why all weighted blankets are not made to cover over the sides of the bed?

The weighted blanket is a better solution to sleeplessness. I no longer need to take something to help me fall asleep. I got a 17 pounds one . Once you settle in bed with the blanket hugging from all sides it feels reassuring and falling asleep is a lot easier.

Decent blanket for the price but was not a twin size it was more like a bigger throw blanket but was big enough for an average size 10 yr old.

Admitting: I got this as a sofa throw for myself, not a kid. And boy am I glad I didn’t get the 17 lb adult version, because 7 is about all I can take. I did end up putting it on my side of the bed, and I do think I’m sleeping better. For me it doesn’t really feel like safety so much as it forces me to settle down and stop my usual restless rolling. I fall asleep fast, and sleep through the night, so I guess those are big wins.But sometimes even 7 lbs feels uncomfortably heavy on the body, especially if it gets bunched up instead of staying evenly distributed flat. I honestly think a smallish child would have trouble moving it (though I wouldn’t worry too much about suffocation — they could always roll out from under it as long as not still in a crib.) I suspect some kids would hate it, being tucked in under it and feeling trapped (the way some babies despise being swaddled). So before jumping in maybe try tucking in your child tightly with heavy bedding and see how they react. It’s just not for everyone, despite the benefits.Also, it’s a wee bit scratchy, so definitely plan to use a flat sheet or duvet.

Excellent quality blanket but too heavy for me! 17 pounds is heavy when it’s a blanket!

The blanket was all that I expected. Very comfortable & weighted just right.

Very nice but only for 1 large adult (and under 6'2), but not really big enough for 2 adults. It will keep you very warm, so I only use it in the colder months with my sleeping temp set to about 63F in the house. Now that I'm used to it (very heavy), I really like it and sleep much better than before. It is about the size of the top of a queen mattress, with almost no overhang. I gently machine washed it and then hung dried it with no problems. Seems well made.

Had better but works for its intended purpose

Tengo 3 mantas pesadas para dormir y esta es definitivamente mi favorita. Soy de las personas que me gusta dormir literalmente "aplastada" osea que algo pesado me abrace y me aplaste; de lo contrario, no podría dormir solamente con una sábana encima. Por este motivo, me di a la tarea de comprar mantas de diferentes pesos. Tengo una de 15 kilos, otra de 12 y esta de 7.7 y esta última es mi favorita porque aún cuando me gustan las mantas más pesadas, batallo para voltearme de lado pues pesan mucho. Con esta manta me puedo cambiar libremente de posición y no la siento tan pesada que me tenga que desperar a media noche para moverme. Sin embargo, tampoco es ligera pues me hace sentir el peso que necesito para dormir pacíficamente. Por eso considero que esta manta es la ideal pues tiene lo mejor de los 2 polos: 1) Suficientemente ligera para cambiarme de posición, 2) y lo suficientemente pesada para sentir que tengo un peso encima. La razón por la cual le doy 4 estrellas y no 5 es que en la descripción la venden como "fresca" y pues nada qué ver!!! Fresca no es!!! Yo duermo con el clima prendido a 16°C y tengo que prender todavía un abanico porque me da mucho calor dormir bajo esta manta. Así que tomen en cuenta que no se van a sentir frescos con ninguna manta pesada encima, ni siquiera esta!
