Trustown Medical Forehead and Ear Thermometer, Digital Infrared Thermometer 4 in 1 Multifunction, Tricolor Fever Alarm, Ideal for Baby, Kid, Adult

I bought this as a second opinion as I suspected serious inaccuracies with my old in-ear thermometer while I was rather unwell. It arrived very promptly. I immediately tried it, and immediately distrusted the reading. Apparently I had a fever of 40.2c. I wasn't well - I could feel that - but surely not that bad? My wife insisted I call 111 because of the readings and having a history of infection and complications, they said to present myself to a hospital either by ambulance or car forthwith. Turns out my infection markers were seriously high; as one doctor said, "impressively high". So yeah, it wasn't lying. It was accurate. I'll trust it next time.

Delivery was quick . Item measured forehead temperature as required . Also I measured window glass to see if the double glazing was still effective . Seems it does the coniv job and can be used for other things . Accuracy I can't check as yet as it is only a few days old so need to see how it goes .

There are so many thermometers out there it's so difficult to choose one. I wanted a forehead thermometer as in the current COVID climate it was getting expension to purchase the covers for another one I had. This thermometer does both inear and forehead, so when the kids are asleep you can take their temp without waking them up. It remembers your last measurements and also states whether they were in ear or forehead. So great that I don't need to buy covers anymore, so considering there is no additional cost is certainly a plus point!. After using it for a few days these showed the same results as my other thermometer so I know it works!Very easy to use. On the forehead , place it and then press the start button and do a sweeing left to right motion on the head. In ear , just take the cap off place it in ear and press the start button. There is a built in light so you can see the screen in the dark as well.

Does what it's supposed to do easy to use just not 100% that it's accurate

The media could not be loaded.  This is brilliant. Definitely needed in today's market. It's very easy to use and it can be used infrared or by putting it in the ear. It can store all my data too which is a bonus. Every home should have one with covid going around. It's made well and not flimsy and cheap looking. I'm happy with it

need to compare to one from docs for accuracy but seems to be about right and very easy to use to check if temp staying about the same

Instructions aren't straight forward. Have given up trying to use as a forehead thermometer and just use as an in ear. As an in ear it is fine.

It shows er1 for the first couple of minutes - I'm not sure why as the manual says that means it's lower than 15C and it never is.When it gets going it's great. I use it for my kids as the mouth thermometers aren't accurate.
