Good Durable OEM like Hood Props Acura MDX 07-13
Good OEM like quality good prop struts for 2007-2013 Acura MDX, installation was very simple saved me $$$ compared to stealership. Took a good 10 minutes for install, highly recommend this for your ACURA MDX! It seems to be durable and built well, supports the hood with ease and fits perfectly. Checkout the photos for proof! Go ahead & order you won’t be disappointed!

Perfect fit for 08 Acura MDX
Item came very fast and in a good condition. Taking out the Old one’s was easy as other reviewers stated. I was able to install the new ones by myself and it is working perfectly.

Well Made / Reasonably Priced
I recently received and installed this hood strut on my 2015 Acura MDX…my assessment is preliminary. The strut appears to be well-made. It was easy to install, although the instructions could have been better; an illustration of the clip attachments would have been better than just a written description. It supports the hood well. I recommend this product.

well rated aftermarket hood strut
Purchased for '08 MDX after positive reviews on Amazon and mdxers.org, a great diy community for the MDX. Shipping was fast and well packaged. No included instructions or any product info. Easy install after you understand how the clips work. Plenty of easy-to-find online videos for that. Testing right after install showed one of the two struts binding -- in that it took a good amount of force to open it fully. After opening and closing the struts about 10 times or so (ie., raising/lowering the hood) it loosened up to where it appears to be working properly. Unsure whether this is a possible defect or necessary break-in. Definitely less smooth operation than original struts, but also about half the price. Worth it IF they hold up.

MDX tailgate Strut
I just installed and all seems to fit just like the oem. My old struts would not hold the tailgate open in cold weather. These were easy to install, but be sure to have something to secure the tailgate before the first one. I used a strap around my garage door opener. You only need a small flat blade screw driver to lift the metal clip high enough to pull the strut free. No need to completely remove the clip. The hardest part to install the new strut was removing the nylon strap. The only way I could figure out how to remove the strap around the strut was to use a utility knife to cut the strap. Then you just pop the strut in place being sure you install in the same direction that you removed the old one. For me the stationary side attached to the vehicle and the extension side attached to the lift gate.
