This works fantastic. My cat has no matts but it removes the underneath hair and there is no shedding all over. I haven't seen any hairballs either. My boy loves the comb and rolls over when he sees me with it. It doesn't seem to hurt at all. The hair comes right out with no tugging. I am so happy with it.

I have a chow-chow mix that grows a thick undercoat that's blown before Summer and Fall. This tool easily removed this lowest coat while preserving/cleaning the top coat. My dog was a stray that I rescued so it's taken a few seasons to get her coat in better condition. She had to get used to feeling the tug on her coat but has since adapted well and seems to enjoy the grooming process. I recommend slow, steady strokes with the tool to acclimate your dog because the "teeth" are not the same as on a brush or deshedding tool. I think it would work well on Malamutes & Huskies, or any dog/feline breeds that grow thick undercoats or that mat easily. The tool that I purchased is about 3" wide, making it a good fit overall. including neck, tail, belly, inside legs and shoulders. My hand size is small-to-medium and the tool's weight and fit was comfortable for 30-60 minutes grooming sessions. I'm a Prime Member so I received the tool on time, within 24 hours.

Now that my German Shepard-Canadian Inuit-Australian Sheperd mix puppy's adult coat is in, I had to upgrade my grooming tools from the Kong brush and wire pin slicker brush. They just can't get through his dense undercoat and wiry fur. This thinning brush took some getting used to for both of us, but was worth the effort! He enjoys the grooming now, and the natural flea and tick products have a chance at reaching his skin when I use this 3-4 times a week. It also seems to reduce the amount of dander and dog smell (makes sense...grooming does that, right?😉) I wasn't sure this was going to be a keeper at first (despite the high ratings and reviews on Amazon and elsewhere), but I'm glad I stuck with it.

This little tool is amazing. I had purchased a similar item at Walmart about a year ago but my long haired cat did not like it because the tines were so close together and it literally pulled her bald headed. She hated it. After fighting with her and losing an ounce of blood a minute, I decided to look up other options. I like that this comb is double sided and the tines are spread out better. I read the reviews and decided to give it a shot. She actually laid still in my lap while brushed her with this. HUGE clumps of fur and undercoat were coming out everywhere. I love this little tool, thank you for giving me back my silky fluff ball instead of the kitty with "dread locks". Bless her heart she would get them on her rear end near her tail and around her neck. Buy it, you need this if you have pets who get fur that mats easilly. You'll love it and your pets will thank you.

I think I was in heaven using this on my four long-haired cats! It is sturdy, good quality and the cats didn't get too upset :-) I literally racked out enough hair from EACH cat to make FOUR MORE cats! Also, I know my cats feel better too and less hot with not all that undercoat matting up. Highly Recommend!

Hair doesn't stay on brush , it falls into the ground as I'm brushing

This was one time where the glowing positive reviews stood up & I concur! I got this for my long-haired cat who kept getting mats, and while she's not nuts about sitting still for it as long as I do it gently and only for spurts at a time she's good (and it works - find a vid on Youtube about how to do this first though). What I didn't expect was my short-haired Bengal cat to enjoy the heck out of it. He hardly sheds, but loves the feel of this (use very little pressure though) - and it does pull up loose hairs to help prevent any hairballs. I'm amazed at how well this works, how easy it is to clean the hair back out of, and totally recommend it.

Firstly, this is a very sturdy brush with a comfortable grip. I have a long haired cat whose fur is prone to mats by his active lifestyle. This brush has so much grab that you really must have a light hand. The grip is so good that it really grabs hold of the mats and doesn't let go. This can be too much if the mat is on the bigger side because it just doesn't stop pulling. I literally have had to use both hands to remove it from his fur - he can't take the pulling on his skin. I'd say as long as you are patient and your pet will allow you to spend some time working from the end of the fur in toward the skin it's a great brush.

It works great. But the kitty isn't too pleased with it, being a long-haired cat.It really helps with mats in the fur. Just be gentle and patient. It really does it's job well. Regardless of the type of brush/comb whatever it is you use, your cat won't be happy unless you shave your cat because that isn't pulling the fur.Would buy again. But it's really beefy and seems like it's gonna last

Our Norwegian Forest Cat's coat was developing thick matted areas where he insists on sitting in the garden when it's raining. As he has a double coat (long hair over sheep like fleece) he isn't bothered about the rain and his undercoat grows into felt-like clumps which are hard to remove and obviously cause him pain. This grooming rake does help remove the clumps and has proved successful in grooming him in combination with his usual brushes. One thing to remember is not to just drag it through animal's coat as you might as well just grab the hair and yank it out, well that's how the animal would envision the experience and refuse to allow rake to be used again. Follow grooming instructions, use with consideration and have a tangle free pet. One point to note, the blades are not sharp, in fact they are blunt, so no concerns about injuring your pet. I added this a couple of days later and should have mentioned it in the first edit:- take your time when grooming with the rake, let your pet become confident with using the rake and don't rush the grooming. We've found our cat is now confident in having the rake used on him, especially as we don't drag it through his coat. rake has proved very effective in getting the lumps out.

Sono al mio secondo acquisto per questo prodotto, la spazzola con la parte del dorso grigio l'ho acquistata circa un anno fa ed ancor oggi pur avendo tre gatti è super efficace come mostra la quarta foto che mostra il pelo eliminato in due soli passaggi di spazzola su gatta con pelo simile a quello del certosino.Questa spazzola è in grado di districare il pelo di gatti e cani annodati ed inoltre rimuove totalmente il sotto pelo invernale dei nostri amici pelosi.Sottolineo che per i gatti il pelo ingerito leccandosi rappresenta un pericolo per la loro salute per cui prevenire è meglio che curare.L'ho usata anche su di un cane spinone, che ha un pelo di lunghezza media, ed il risultato è stato perfetto.Per quelli che sono i risultati dopo averla usata consiglio sicuramente l'acquisto considerando che il prezzo di vendita è convenientissimo ed è una spazzola che dura nel tempo.

Purchased this to use on two long hair cats an heavy moulting Labrador and it’s been the best brush I’ve purchased and I have a looot of different pet brushes. It helps with tangles and shedding and the pets allow you to brush them for longer as they seem to enjoy it.
