Dimmer 2G 2way

I wanted to buy 2 matching dimmers, a single and a double, when I received them it transpired that the double cannot handle LED lamps so I returned them! However, the quality was very good, nicely made, substantial and obviously well engineered!

Solved a problem I had with dimmable LED downlights, which flashed with a previous double switch. So the small buzz sound from the rheostats in the switch are actually an improvement on what I had. It looks like a quality item and the "buzz" could well be down to the load of the LEDs. It's "universal" which means it should work with most bulbs.

The left dimmer died after 1 year and 1 month

Product arrived, looks like a quality double switch. I had also bought compatible dimmable led lamps. Switch itself, on/off mechanism works ok on one but the other doesn't have a satisfactory click when switching on and off, the dial clicks rather than smooth. Switch installed one switch flickers at full but dims ok and the other one works ok, on its dullest setting the lamps are off, after four clicks you get the lamps on dull then brighten up to full as normal. Just checked again and the flickering has stopped. The final click goes from bright to slightly dull. It may be a faulty switch.

Be warned. While this is advertised as a low voltage dimmer switch, it is only in the fine print of the instructions that it specifies that it is not compatible with LED lights. There is a more expensive version from Schnieder available that is compatible with LEDs.
