These melt much better than the generic brands. I like getting these big bags of solid colors vs having to sort through the big mixed bins but it is more expensive this route. I typically buy the colors I use the most in these bags and then get a mixed bin for other colors that aren't used as frequently. If you are going to do melty bead art, I recommend that you stick with the Perler brand. Other brands can have major issues when melting that can ruin your project.

We ran out of white beads and I ordered these to replace them. They take longer to iron and they turn out very matte compared to our other ones. Not very pretty.

My children needed extra black and white perler beads. Amazon was a convenient way to purchase it. Just check back periodically as the price fluctuates.

It was a great value being able to buy in this volume. My grandson loves building “sonic” so we go through sooo many blue beads!

I honestly do not have the time to count all 6000 beads but it is a huge bag and I still have a lot left. Black and white are the most common colors and I'm glad they have a 6000 bead count bag for it. If you ever plan on getting a 1000 bead count of white beads, I rather you just skip that and get 6000. With Amazon prime I was able to finish my perler bead gift to my friends since the delivery is fast as usual with prime.

These are great Perler Beads. They fuse together very well and all of the beads have a consistent white color so work well in every project they are used in. My kids are now teenagers but have been using Perler Beads since they were little kids. They asked for the 6000 sized bag as they have so many projects that they want to make that seem to specifically need white.

I wanted to make some snowflake decorations for Christmas, and originally thought I'll just cut them out of folded paper when I came across some blog with photos of Perler beads' creations. Before that, I didn't even know Perler existed...So, this was my very first Perler experience, and I must admit this stuff is addictive :)I started with a couple of boards and a 6000 count of white beads, and am currently awaiting shipment of several other colors (incl. metallics).The process is very straightforward - place the beads on the pegs of the board(s), then carefully iron them through the enclosed parchment-like ironing paper, and admire your creation. Some trial end error has taken place, and not all my snowflakes are perfectly fused; some look a little blobish, but I'm getting better with each new one. Plus, I am not locked into any specific design, so this really is a lot of fun, and a really relaxing hobby.

They melt very well and the color is perfect. Even buying in bulk, those beads are still expensive.
